Keith Kogane, also known as the most feared kid in the highschool. He'd been targeted with many rumors including beating up multiple kids, and having sex with many others.
Well, nonconsensual sex. He didnt have a good reputation, but at least he was able to avoid confrontation from many kids at school because everyone was scared of him, just how he liked it. He wanted to get through the school day without being bothered and then go home. He wanted it to be over with already.
He sat in the back of all of his classes, and usually had a circle of empty desks around him as NO ONE wanted to sit near him. He liked it that way, even if it did get a little lonely at times.
His attire normally consisted of dark clothes, usually black and red, leather jackets and leather fingerless gloves. He rode a motorcycle to school everyday, that he had in fact made from scratch and was quite proud of, though he was terrified that someone would break it just to get back at him for 'the things he'd done'. Keith in fact feared everyone at the highschool, not having good experiences with other schools, which was why he was glad for the rumors that had been made at the highschool which kept him from any human confrontation.
That was at least until the day that there was a new student. Lance McClain was the name, and Keith wanted nothing to do with him, but he obviously didnt have a choice as it seemed that Lance was quite interested and persistent with being Keith's friend.

Lance McClain was the annoying new kid that no one really talked to. He was lonely to say the least. While he was lonely he wasn't shy, he's actually quite outgoing and really liked getting to know people. Unfortunately no one wanted to talk to him let alone be his friend. Since Lance didn't talk to anyone he hadn't really heard much about Keith. The little bit he had heard was from eavsdropping on a few conversations and he wasn't deterred in the slightest. Lance was going to befriend Keith no matter what.

Usually, Keith came into school early everyday to get to class before the hallways filled with students. He wanted to avoid the contact of any other as much as he possibly could, so that was what he did. He sat in the seat he normally sat in, in the back of the classroom and near the window so that he could look out at the pond and watch ducks swimming in it. He thought they were really cute.
Usually, no one dared to sit next to him, but, with the new student joining the class and not enough seats, Lance was going to have to sit next to Keith. He didnt want to sit next to Lance, but the teacher wasn't going to do anything about that.

Lance was really excited to meet Keith because he knew he didn't have friends either and knew there was a possibility for a friendship. Lance walked into class and noticed the only couple seats open were by Keith and immediately started smiling nervously.
He started thinking about all that could go wrong: what if Keith heard how irritating he was, what if he hated him before he even sat down, what if he doesn't even talk to me, and why is he so hot?

Keith was still staring out the window, and hadn't yet noticed the arrival of the new student. Hell, he was completely oblivious to the fact that there was going to be a new student, and quite frankly he wouldn't care one bit. Not a single breath in him would be wasted speaking to the new student just like with any other student. Of course he would hear everything bad that Keith had supposedly done to other students, and would be uninterested in talking to him anyways, because apparently Keith had done some pretty bad things. He'd beat people, bullied people. Hell, Keith had even heard that he'd stabbed someone multiple times, killing them and leaving them in a puddle of their own blood. Obviously that was a lie. If he had killed someone then wouldn't he be in prison? Wouldn't he have been on he news for being a highschool student that had killed another student? Keith didn't understand why students were so thick skulled these days. Why they believed everything that they heard. But then again, he couldn't care less. It kept people from taking to him so he didn't mind it.

"Class, please welcome our new student, Lance McClain. He's a new student from uh.... what country did you move from again..? Cuba?" The teacher asked, pushing his thin framed glasses up his nose to get a better look at the Newcomer across the classroom from him.
The rest of the class had turned their attention to Lance as well, even the raven sitting by the window, his dark blue gaze scanning up and down the fresh meat.
He wouldn't admit it, but Lance was quite.... attractive. Keith knew that he was gay, and had known it for a long time. A very long time, but refused to tell anyone. He didn't want to be gay, as it was frowned upon most everywhere. At one of us old schools word had gotten around that he was queer and he got bullied so bad that he had broken quite a few bones, being shoved into lockers and getting rocks thrown at him. He wasn't going to let hat slip again, not at this school where everyone left him alone. So he would look at Lance, and then look away. He knew that he was going to be attracted to the newcomer but refused to allow his gaze linger.
