Backstory-
I sat in the hospital waiting room as I tried to process what was happening. I looked up to see my best friend Mark still crouched in front of me. My mind replayed what the doctors told me.
"I'm sorry Ms. Hyun, but we weren't able to save your Father and you mother is brain-dead, so we must take her off life support."
And just like that, 12 year old Hyun Ginnifer's world was gone. I looked up to see Mark's parents talking to a social worker. I had been with Mark's family while my parents went on a date night, and on the way home there was a deer in the road so my father swerved and flipped the car down the mountain road they had been taking, the quickest road back to me.
"Ginny, honey? You are gonna come with us and live with us as our daughter and Mark's Sister." I heard Mrs. Lee speaking.
I simply nodded and left with them. Two weeks later they adopted me and I changed my name to Lee GiHyun.
4 years later I moved to Korea with Mark, who got accepted into a music school in Seoul. Then one day I found a strange wooden box on my bed as I got home from school.
