Winters P.O.V
"She's a silver lining lone ranger riding through an open space mind" as I finally finished cleaning my room listening to the whole AM album by Artic Monkeys, I finish singing the song playing. Today was the day I was going to give the library all the old books I've bought, I'm surprised they're still in good shape.
As I head out of home I run into my mom, drunk as ever. "I'll be back in a few mom, just going down to the-" of course, already knocked out on the couch, my mom was known as Cassidy the drunkie which really did suck. I grab my jacket and head out the door. Walking down these streets have become an everyday thing to me, ever since I was about 8 years old I'd come down to the library to read the teenage romance books, and the magazines just to see some really hot girl there with a perfect body, it wasn't fair how hot they were to me back then untill I realized they were photoshopped, but they still looked pretty.
Meanwhile I was just a 5'2, 15 year old girl who had straight-ish brown hair and eyes that looked like a mixture of dark brown with a light brown color. While my body was curvy, but not really skinny or thick. As I snapped out of my thoughts, I walked up the stairs and went inside the library.
"Ah finally giving up these books aren't you? Such a shame. They're all really good." Mr.Alec, person in this bad enough town.
"They're really great, but I have to make space for the new ones of course!" I said with a sort of smile.
As he took the bin away from me, I walked around the downstairs part of the library, taking a look around the shelves I saw my boyfriend, James. Ah of course, he was always in here flirting with some girl and ran out as soon as he saw me.
"Oh hey Winter I was just stud-"
"Studying as always? Good for you!"
Jesus that guy always has the most dumbest reasons to be in the library, and if I was brave enough I would break up with him, but I will eventually someday, when I gain enough guts to, I mean he wasn't going to beat me up or anything but I still did really like this guy sadly and he's the only boyfriend I've had which is a bit upsetting.
After bumping into James,I walked up the stairs to a part of the library I've never been to before, it was very vintage with about 1,000 shelves! And the books looked vintage too, I'm starting to wonder if I stepped into a different dimension of some sort. As I look around, I had ran across a book I had previously owned, it was a book my dad used to read to me when I was smaller..

Flashback
Winters P.O.V still
"Hey, how about I read you a book Winter? Then maybe the monsters under your bed will fall asleep too." Dad was always trying to read to me this silly old book, even though I was 6 and old enough to read a book on my own, but I'd always let him because I liked seeing him smile while reading it.
"Hey dad, how come you always read the same book to me?" As I asked him that question he looked at me with an upset face and sighed. "Growing up I really liked this book, and your mom and I actually talked for the very first time just about this book, but don't worry I won't have to read it again." As soon as he said that I listened closely to every word he read to me coming out of that book and remember him saying before he left "Don't forget about me"
