"We are going around in circles! How should I know anything when it came from your stupid annoying mouth-"
I was cut off with the most unexpected thing I would not have imagined happening in the next hundred years. Ethan's soft lips were on mine but I was too shocked to kiss back. However the kiss didn't even last ten seconds that's how awfully quick it was. I was too stunned to do anything I stared at his bright blue orbs for answers but I couldn't find anything. "Does that answer your question?" He asked.
I couldn't move.
I couldn't breathe.
Was this a dream?
I slapped myself hard on the cheek to see if I was dreaming but unfortunately I felt the awful sting on my cheek.
"Did you just slap yourself?" He asked in amusement.
At that moment I realised what I did and could feel myself going red. I ignored his question, "Did you just kiss me?" I asked in a haze.
"Yes."
I couldn't help myself but ask, "Why?"
"Do I have to spell everything out for you?" He chuckled.
I nodded like an idiot.
He stood up from his seat as he started to pace back and forth. He seemed nervous the way he kept fidgeting with his hands.
"I really like to explain myself starting from the beginning. The night of the club when I first laid my eyes on you, I was having one of those awful days so I decided to go and find myself a distraction so I made my way to the bar. I don't know why it felt like fate but I couldn't see anyone until I laid my eyes on you dancing on the dance floor. The way you moved was so hypnotic and magnetic; I felt a pull on my heart. I had an urge to talk to you, to touch you but I held myself back not wanting to scare you. Nevertheless, it felt like the universe was cheering on for me because you came to the bar and I couldn't resist but talk to you, all the anger and tiredness I had felt once I came into the club was vanished as soon as we interacted. But the whole thing came crashing when you didn't take my number and you vanished into the crowd, I tried searching for you but there was no luck, I knew then that you were different to anyone else I had ever met. And when we bumped into each other in the café I was ecstatic however once again you disappeared. The days went by slowly and in pain because every night I had dreamt about you which I knew would never come true."
I sat there listening to him speak with my mouth wide open as I looked at him in shock
Ethan continued to talk, "I was surprised to see you come in for an interview and at that moment I made a decision I couldn't let you disappear again." He chuckled. "I knew I had to give you the job. You were everything I needed as my PA but also I wanted you close, I wanted to get to know you. I was happy to find any situation to see you, remember the file I bought to your apartment for you to read and report it to me well that was an excuse. Myra, the evening we spent alone in the woods made me realise I had strong feelings for you that I couldn't even comprehend but I never told you because I didn't wanted to scare you. But when I invited you for dinner and I met Chris, I'm going to be honest I hated him I felt so upset and jealous that you met him before me and you were the one who wanted to move things forward with him." Ethan came towards me and kneeled down in front of me as he held my hand. "I am sorry the way I reacted I thought if I ignored you I would be able to overcome this pain and these feelings I have for you. I realised while I was in Paris that I have completely fallen in love you, I think of you the first thing in the morning and last at night. I know you don't feel the same way but I needed to let you know." He spoke softly as he gazed into my eyes with an emotion I had never seen; love.
