"I forgive you just because the lasagne was yummy." I smiled at him.
He chuckled lightly before picking up my plate and going towards the sink to wash up. I was busy trying not to stare at his body as his shirt tightened against his biceps while he washed, which was giving me a very odd feeling I couldn't understand. I started to play with my hair to keep myself occupied when suddenly I heard a crashing sound with a small grunt. I looked up in fear to see Ethan holding onto his hand with blood oozing out. My face paled as I looked at Ethan, my heart started to beat frantically as I ran to his side.
"This is the reason why I don't do the simplest tasks." He tried to laugh. However I was not in a laughing mood as I looked at his hand in anxious to see a long cut on his hand.
"Where's your first aid kit?" I asked him.
"Myra, I'm okay."
"I am not going to ask you again." I growled.
"There's one under that cupboard." He pointed at one corner of the kitchen.
When I grabbed the first aid kit I strode towards Ethan and made him sit at the stool while I cleaned and bandaged his hand. Once I had finished, Ethan had excused himself. I was sitting all alone in the kitchen with my head swirling with words. Why did I react that way? I asked myself, I have never reacted so panicked and in fear like that before. At that moment it dawned on me why I had responded like that it's because I am in love with Ethan Cole.
Myra Dawn is in love with Ethan Cole.
I gasped at my revelation, when and how did I fall in love, I do not know. All I know is I do not regret this I will embrace it with open arms. I know I said I am going to give up on Ethan, I will, but I do not feel remorse about this sensation that is surging through my veins. This does explain why I have been so miserable all week just because Ethan was ignoring me.
"Come Myra," I saw Ethan standing at the doorway holding out his hand.
I walked towards him but I did not put my hand in his cause I was supposed to give up on him even though my heart is whining in pain.
Ethan looked down at his hand as he slowly retracted it back with a sad expression on his face. I followed behind him until we reached the living room where I sat down one of the leather sofa. Instead of sitting on the other sofa he chose to sit next to me.
I cleared my throat, "What do you want to talk about?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter anymore?" He answered dimly.
"Why?"
"I realised something I did not before."
I waited for him to carry on but he stayed silent. "Could I ask you something?" I turned my body towards him as I waited for him to answer me. He nodded his head. "I remember you said to me I crushed someone's life with my bare hands. What did you mean? Who is that someone?" I asked.
"Are you that naïve?" He asked as he stared into my eyes making my heart turn into mush with his intense stormy blue eyes.
"No!" I snapped back once I broke away from his trance.
"Well you should know then."
"How am I supposed to know? Just tell me!" I retorted back.
"I am not telling you!" He responded back as he held his gaze with mine.
I did not back off. I glared at him, "Why not?"
"You should know if you're not naive!" He challenged me.
