The lake water swirls, as a young girl plays around absolutely care free. She giggled, black curls soaking wet. She didn't mind, and neither did her father.
"Haruka." The dragon smiled softly, splashing her with his tail. She squealed, disappearing into the water.
"Dad!!" The girl laughed, legs forming again from the water. His smile turned sad, as he pulled a cloak out from under him, made from his own blue and silver scales. "What's this?"
"It's a gift from me." Jun replied, curling his tail around his daughter. "The last thing I can give to you."
Blue eyes looked up into the dragon's. "What do you mean?"
"Stay strong no matter what. You can make it here." He said, his eyes closing. Haruka teared up, pounding on his scales along his stomach.
"Dad!! Wake up!" She cried. "C'mon, wake up!!" The dragon smiled sadly, breathing slowing down, but his human daughter wouldn't notice that right now. He truly felt sorry, but he did the best he could to prepare her for life. This wasn't how he planned it, and he watched her fall asleep before taking his final breath.
'You'll be the reason my spirit will live on. Continue your journey Haruka, and become so much stronger than I ever was.'
