"Oh my god Cat, we did it!! We graduated uni!! We are soooo going out tonight, babe" Layla says excitedly hugging me tightly.
I chuckle hugging her back holding my graduation cap on my head. "Well, the family wanna take me out for a celebratory meal first, but yeah, why not?" I grin.
Three long hard years in university, and I finally graduated with honours...
"Fuck yes!" She whoops. "I'll call you later girl, my family are swinging their arms above their heads trying to call me over" she rolls her eyes. "later babe" she hugs me again and runs away whooping all over the grounds towards her family who are doing the same.
I chuckle shaking my head then hear my family squealing. By my family, I mean everyone from my mum and dad, Eva and Justin, amber and Russ, Barb and Brian and Catherine and Chris Russ and Craig's parent's. I smile shyly at my crazy family who are hollering like the crazy folk making me get weird stares from other families.
I shrug towards them what are you gonna do!
And I take off running towards them all squealing. "I did it...I did it" I say excitedly
Mum and dad reach for me first. "Oh, my god, Catherine, we are so proud of you" she sobs squeezing me to her so tightly it knocks the breath from me.
"Mum" I gasp on a squeak.
"Baby, loosen the grip on her now, she's turning the same colour as her gown" dad chuckles.
Mum gasps and let's go suddenly. "Oh, sorry baby, I got a little carried away" she chuckles.
I fix my cap and gown chuckling at my mum and look at my dad and he's looking at me with such love in his eyes and opens his arms wide. "Oh, my baby" he croaks and I wrap my arms around his waist squeezing and he wraps his arms around me squeezing and lifts me off the floor swinging me round.
I squeal. "Daddddd" I shout. "Put me down" I chuckle.
"Yeah, dad, put her down, lemme at her" I hear Eva say.
Dad puts me down but doesn't let go of me. "I am so proud of you baby, so proud" dad croaks.
My eyes well up at my dad. "Thanks, Daddy, Thanks, mum" I tell them both as mum comes to comfort my dad.
Dad lets me go then suddenly, I'm in Eva's arms. "Kit Cat" she squeals. "You did it, babe, and with fucking honours too" she says grinning proudly at me.
"Thanks, Sis" I grin.
"I got news too, Michelle contacted me this morning, you and Layla have got jobs at blue Saint's if you want it?" Eva tells me excitedly.
"Shut up?!" I squeal. "LAYLA" I shout and she looks over from being in her brother Luke's arms and I wave her over.
Me and Layla went to university to study the same course, Layla had grown up with me and knew how important autism was in our family with our holly. She knew what I wanted to do, so she told me she'd be doing the same, She loves our holly.
Layla runs over. "Hey, what's up?" She asks. "Hey everyone," she says to everyone.
"Congrats, Layla," everyone says to her and she grins blushing Scarlett.
"Thanks" she squeaks and looks at me. "What's up?"
I look to Eva. "Tell her" I say excitedly.
Eva grins. "I got a call from Michelle this morning, and she's offering you both a job at blue saints, if you want it?" She tells Layla.
