We weren't red and blue.
We were closer,
like red and maroon.

As much as we wanted,
we weren't sun and moon.
Two moons, different phases.
We were going through each of our stages,
Waiting,
Waiting to be the sun but waining and half make a whole and a new.
We magnified each other, each crater grew and the dark side we've ignored always looked new.

We weren't blue and green,
We were like tree and tree,
More like pine and oak
our roots tangled.
Feeding off each other to dry and soak.
We were wilting more and more.
Passing the same saliva back and forth,
the oxygen ran thin and we needed more room.
We cut apart and the broken branches is where flowers bloom.
We both grow strong and beautiful but not apart

We weren't art.

We were like Adam and Eve,
Making mistakes in our garden we shouldn't leave.

We weren't art,

We were Human.
