Nadia snickered at the youtube video.
"There so corny." She rarely got to watch YouTube she would always would be forced...encouraged to read and write.
"Nadia!" Her mom called sharply.
She sighed cutting of the computer and shoving it under her pillow. "Yes ma'am?"
"Are you watching Inappropriate videos?" Her voice squealed.
"Excuse me? No, No! Why do you and dad accuse me of everything!?" I asked with aggression in my voice as I semi yelled so she she could hear me.
"Listen here young lady! I allowed you to watch videos that were supervised and I suddenly get a notification that my Oh sweet daughter is watch the Dolan Tiwns?!?"
I threw myself back on the bed as she continued to ramble on.
" if your friends jumped of a bridge would you?"
Her mother now stood in front of her arms folded and eyebrow raised. Her foot tapped rapidly on the wood floor.
"Please with that hackneyed saying and mom I'm 18 I don't know what your gonna do when I go to college."
Especially since it will be far away from here.
Her mom now scoffed. Her petite body was shaking as her daughter was now getting under her skin.
As she was about to say something Nadia cut her off "besides I don't have friends and it's because of you."
"That is not true, you have the kids at church."
Nadia mentally rolled my eyes at the mention of those stuck up kids.
"You see the things there doing with there lives?!"
"What do you want me to do?" Nadia rubbed her temples as her mom stared her down.
"Since you want to be so fucking bold and independent...you will be staying with my sister on the weekends then you'll see why I tried to protect you."
Nadia smiled a genuine one to her mother which she had not done in a long time.
