The Chase and the confrontation

"Don't worry, she is fine, the bullet hit the shoulder, and wasn't embedded in too deep, so there's no need to be worried . She will be conscious in a few days, and up and running in another few. " the Doctor walked away as both,  Steve and Fury, simultaneously heaved a sigh of relief.

"Dr.Strange", a voice was heard from everywhere and nowhere , all at once.

"Mordo" Stephen said, a bit surprised.

Everything surrounding them faded in a minute. Although more experienced than him,  Mordo was far less knowledgeable about the workings of the mirror dimensions . Needless to say, the mirror world created by him was far more susceptible to be controlled by Strange rather than Mordo himself.

The last time Strange had heard about Mordo was when he had stolen the magic from a fellow magician in the name of justice. And judging by the gleam in Mordo's eyes, he knew that nothing good was going to come out of this encounter .

"I helped you when you were desperate, and helpless. Without me, you would have been killed by those street goons and lying dead in a ditch somewhere. No one would've bothered enough to even bury you " Mordo said, trying to provoke him.

He went towards Dr.strange, some four steps, creating stairs while walking on them . He hoped that the arrogance, coupled with the fact that he was on a higher ground (literally) ,and having leverage against him, would make the doctor angry.

Magic was strange. And Strange was a powerful magician. He knew both the facts, and yet he was willing to play with fire. Because only a new fire could kill an old one.

"oh", the Doctor continued with narrow eyes still on Mordo,"Thank you for that" he said sarcastically .

"Odin!" Mordo said and that was enough to get the attention of Dr.Strange.

That word itself actually stating everything. One word, two syllables and the meaning was clear. But he still needed the confirmation.

"Odin?" He asked, raising his eyebrows, almost innocently.

"Yes, you heard it right. He is with me and I know that Thor came to you as I had already expected."

He was wrong but he did not know that he was wrong; and he didn't need to . Thor never came to Dr.Strange, he had been called by Dr.Strange for other purposes. But telling him that would be stupid, and a waste of his energy .

Dr.Strange was ready for a fight, tracking his enemy's each move. As he had expected, Mordo was behind this. He should have told  Thor about his suspicions and contacted Captain earlier, but it was too late now. Neither of them blinked, having a stare-off match, filling the mirror world with silence. The calm before the storm.

"If you want him back, or, let me correct myself; if Thor wants him back, he has to kill you, Dr. Strange."

"What? why do you want Thor to kill me, when you can do it too? " he replied with confidence although he knew that he could easily beat him.

"We have learnt the same magic ; You and I, and perhaps you learned  a little more than me. But to be fair, you have  broken the rules too, more than me, anyway . " taking a few steps back, Mordo continued." Peggy is going to die soon, as all the other agents who got affected by the time loop that  you created ."

"Had I not done that, all of us would have been dead." he said, conviction and contempt clear in his voice.

"Peggy would've been dead too, if i'd chosen to kill her when she was in the cab that I was driving . I let her go once, but she wont be alive the next time ."He could see the questioning look in the eyes of the doctor, but he didn't explain any further.

And Stephen didn't want to give him the satisfaction by asking him something that he knew, he wouldn't get an answer for.

Mordo continued "I met Thor too, and he might be willing to kill you for getting Odin back. I cannot kill you, Strange, but he can." Before he could answer or even move , Mordo made a golden circle, of fire and sparks, and vanished off into another dimension .

Many questions and  doubts surrounded him.
'Why was he doing this? What if Thor tries to kill me for Odin? Who was Peggy? He said agents. Maybe he meant agents of SHIELD .I should contact them first.'

A/n - Hi! I tried to make it more interesting. We don't have any new character or new twist and unexpected turn till now, that is coming soon. My favorite Actor is Chris Evans,out of all. Which one is yours?
