AJ was walking around the busses with Dolph's fingers intertwined with her own. She looked around the arena and sighed heavily. It smelled like the streets in her hometown when it rained. There was something about the fragrance that soothed her and made her feel safe. It was one of her favorite smells.
"What is it, babe?" He mocked his character.
"Stop, you know i feel like i want to vomit whenever i hear 'babe'." AJ chuckled.
"AJ, are you okay? You're not being as sarcastic as usual. I didn't get the bitter comment about my bleached hair today." The blue-eyed man fake pouted.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a little sleepy. This live event kinda exhausted me but I'm fine."
"Yeah, tomorrow you'll start hating on my jerkface self again."
"Your prophecy is accurate, Nicholas" AJ grinned.
The woman stared at her chucks as she and Dolph kept walking in circles, their steps echoing due to the puddles on the concrete as the street lights made their path visible enough so they don't trip over something.
A silence settled between them. A comfortable silence for sure. AJ felt like she could lay her head on his shoulder and just sleep while they were walking. So she did it. She just wanted to give him a big hug and sleep.
"Shall we go to the buss, babe?" Dolph murmured into her ear seductively.
The woman was now brought out of her sleepiness due to the tone of his voice and put her head back to its usual position.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear what you just said." AJ claimed and leaned in to kiss her on-screen boyfriend.
The best way to describe their situation was friends with benefits. They would kiss whenever they felt like it, they would be lovers if they felt like it but they would never get attached to one another more than the friendly state. Dolph was aware of what AJ was doing. He knew she was playing a lot of guys on the roster. He wouldn't exactly say he considered her actions acceptable but it was her life after all. She should live it the way she feels like it would benefit her the most. And if being a crazy sexual animal and an off the rockers weird lover was her cup of tea than let it be. They promised each other that before everything else they were friends. Their friendship was definitely one to cherish. The two of them also promised each other that if Dolph found another girl he and AJ would continue off as friends. As long as AJ's love story(ies) go(es) she was absolutely sure that she would never settle for only one person.
They hopped onto the bus just when it was starting to rain. The pair didn't realize how dark it had become outside. The moon was hiding behind the gigantic stormy clouds that threatened them.
"Are you going to sit next to me, sweetie?" Dolph asked AJ as they were walking between the seats of the bus, AJ walking backwards as Dolph stepped towards her.
