Her dull blue eyes leered at the graffiti covered wooden desk silently begging for the bell to ring. Her eyes traveled across the desk slightly wincing at the colorful words that were directed towards her. Aria lightly traced the letters distracting herself from the unnecessary lesson Mrs.Ashe was babbling about. Suddenly the sweet sound of liberation echoed throughout the whole school dismissing Aria from her torture along with the other students. Aria sat silently in her one piece desk while the other students packed their things quickly and scurrying out of the classroom. When the room was emptied to Mrs. Ashe and Aria, Aria silently got up from her desk and walked to the door before stopping and turned to Mrs. Ashe.

"Have a great day Mrs.Ashe."

Aria watched as Mrs.Ashe packed her things mumbling incoherently before she hurried out the door. Sighing, Aria followed her out and continued her way down the hall. It was about time for her to face the facts. She was an outcast, a neglect. She was destined to be alone cooped up in isolation. However, Aria was desperate for a way out of this confinement of neglect. She wanted that one person to see her, hear her. Soon the schools white tiles turned to black pavement as she strolled across the parking lot. Before long, she had arrived to her destination, home. However, to her it was another place where she was neglected, ignored. Screeching brought her from her loathing of her own home. Her father, Zeke Williams had opened the beige front door stepping out. Aria scurried across the yard towards her father and before he shut the door and locked it she stepped inside. She knew where he was going, to the bar. He had started his drinking a year ago. Since then, around 5:00 after work he would head out to the bar it didn't matter if Aria was home or not he would lock the door.

As Aria walked through the front door she resisted the urge to gag at the stench of smoke and alcohol. Aria held her breath as she walked towards her cold abandoned room. Climbing in her bed she couldn't force down the sob that escaped her throat. Throughout the night her silent sobs filled the room. Shortly, she fell asleep with her eyebrows furrowed and mouth in a frown.

During lunch Aria never went to the cafeteria instead she went to the vacant classroom at the end of the hall on the second floor. Walking up the stairs towards her 'Safe Haven' she heard silent mewls and loud curses. The sounds of skin hitting skin and clothes rustling made her tussle up the stairs. The scene made her pause in her tracks. Her eyes widened as her breathing became restricted. Suddenly, her knees buckled hitting the floor. When she had finally got her breathing under control the sound of shoes screeching made her look up. The two jocks that were once violently beating the boy had suddenly made their escape. Aria slowly pushed herself off the tile before making her way to the groaning defeated boy. Aria slowly shuffled toward him never taking her eyes off the boy. When she finally got to his limp exhausted body she lowered herself to the ground sitting criss cross. His body was sitting upwards his knees pulled to his torso cradling them with his head in between. His mop of black hair seemed untamed due to its pulling it recently went through. His pale face was hidden from the cruel world. His dark washed jeans and black shirt were covered in dirty footprints, bruises and red blotches covered the uncovered pale skin. Aria let out a strangled shaky breath before asking,

"Are you ok?"

Honestly, she didn't expect a response but he suddenly looked up startled. Aria's eyes widen a fraction thinking he was looking up at her. Aria turned her head and looked behind her for the person he was looking at.
