Skylar's Pov I woke up screaming in pain not from the lashes but from the shift. My shift was going to be more painful I knew that especially since I was rejected by my mate and now a rouge.
Flashback
I walk through the halls following the delicious scent of my mate. It smelt like Gyros (THE BEST FOOD EVER bet y'all were expecting some fruity shit huh)

I regretted looking up when I did I saw it was the old betas son aka the New alphas son Carter. I felt sparks and went to turn away. But he grabbed my arms keeping me in place. "I Carter Lewis reject you as my mate and my luna." "I Skylar Blue accept your rejection as your mate and Luna." I smirk ripping my arms out of his hands and run for it. I run past the border and keep running until I collapse.
Flashback Ended
I could smell other wolves approaching. I couldn't do anything but lay there as my bones broke and reformed and fur sprouted throughout my body. My hands turned into paws with long claws. I thought I was finished with my shift. I screamed in agony as I started feeling a burning sensation and my black fur started to glow golden. I passed out.
