a short poem

The summer breeze glides over my body, The sun warms my skin

Your kisses are love unfurled,
Your hands are its slave

The fall brings a chill sending goosebumps up my arm,
the mornings make my toes curl

Your arms protect and comfort
Your voice soothes and seduces

The winter wind freezes my nose,
the snowflakes land on my tongue

Your feet reach out for mine,
they're just as cold as yours

The spring thaw melts away my wonder, the babes are crying

Your eyes start to wander,
Your lips tell me lies

The summer heat dries my tears,
the sun sets make me smile

Your heart is empty,
Your mind forgets and replays
