The Passing Of Death

Prologue

     In a world of unexplained phenomena, is there really such thing as something after death? No one truly knows what happens when we die. Do we just rot in the ground? Do we move on to a greater afterlife? What about those that, never really die?
     Lucas Jakobs, leader of the paranormal investigation group "Passing Death", has been dealing with the paranormal since he was a child. He grew up knowing ghosts existed and knew that there was a reason they were there, even if knowing this didn't mean he knew why. But that is why he created "Passing Death." To help find out what those ghosts have left to do.
     The group he brought together was not the best, considering ghosts were never really believed in, it's hard to find others who are good at helping them pass to the other side. Every member had their personal strengtg though. He himself, incantations. He could read ancient incantations and words that may have clues to a ghost's trauma of the past.
     His team was small, but they helped a lot of families help move those who stayed after leaving. Lily Trine, Zach Taylor, and Taylor Jones.
     Lily Trine was one of few special cases. She grew up believing she made imaginary friends like other kids. She was told that no one was there when she saw someone else or talked to someone else, but was also told it was normal to have friends that no one else could see. As she aged she realized, not all of the "friends" she saw, were nice. Some were horrid and terrifying monsters. Monsters from nightmares. And when she learned that she could help move these monstrosities to a world where they would be happy and go back to the way they were originally, she used it.
     Zach Taylor, a mute, but helpful, team member. His skill was expulsion, the act of expelling an evil spirit from a possessed body or object. No one knows if he talks, but he's the best when it comes to expelling those spirits using ancient talismans thanks to his grandmother, who was also a helper to those who could not pass on.
     Lastly, Taylor Jones. Lucas was hesitant about recruiting her, but her skill was more useful then he imagined. Protection, the ability to protect the mind and body of herself and those around her so that possession is nearly impossible for spirits. But some spirits can ignore the power she emmets to protect others. Some ghosts are too powerful for her to hold against and her barrier is shattered due to it. Allowing the ghosts to posses the body presented.
     But together, these four help those who suffer after death, and help them to move on. They have had many cases that are fake, and others that are terrifyingly true. But the job they'll be presented with next, may be too much.
