i thought you said
you'd wait forever
i thought you said
you'd never leave
i thought you promised me
no goodbyes or dried tears
i thought i heard you say
you loved me
i thought about you
about us
about all the things that could've been
but never was
i thought about the conjunction
in between you and i
that seemed so sure
we would last
but words are just words
until you turned them into something
i never would dare to say
cause words were all i had
till you took them all away
and what's left of me are thoughts
fleeting
insane
painful
thoughts
