44. Territorial

"AARAV MANISH SHAH!! What have I told you about not cursing?", Shweta scolded.

"Sorry Mom..", Aarav mumbled lowering his head whilst Shreya giggled.

"Okay so now tell us everything in detail. Don't leave anything", Shweta said sternly.

"Aarav had insisted me to join a hospital and since my clinic is closed half of the time because of something or the other thing so I thought about it. Fortunately, with Aditya's recommendation and help, I got a job in Galaxy Hospital. I am working as a paediatrician there. The hospital is far so Aditya has taken the job of picking me up and dropping me back home. It's a morning shift so no issues and after four-five months I am getting a maternity leave as for the morning sickness, it's there but it isn't that bad", Shreya said all in one go.

"When are you starting?", Aanchal enquired.

"Day after tomorrow", Shreya informed.

"Why is Aditya picking you up? Why not Aarav?", Neela asked.

"The hospital is in the opposite direction, Auntie so Aditya will be picking up and dropping her back home besides he lives in our society. The only difference is he lives in 'Wing D' and we live in 'Wing A'.", Aarav said eating his toast sandwich whilst Neela nodded in understanding.

Shreya was eating her pancake when suddenly she started feeling nauseous. Keeping a hand on her mouth, she tried to get over the nauseous feeling. Aarav glanced at Shreya only to find her face pale all of a sudden.

"Are you okay?", Aarav asked worried and gaining everyone's attention.

Shreya shook her head in response.

"I think it's the morning sickness", Shweta said.

Shreya stood up abruptly and rushed in the direction of the washroom.

"I will..."

"Go. She needs you", Shweta urged Aarav and he nodded before rushing behind Shreya.

As soon as he reached the washroom, he saw Shreya puking her gut out. Holding her hair back, Aarav rubbed her back until she was done. Shreya's face was paled after she had emptied her entire stomach. Aarav offered her toothbrush which she gladly took and brushed her teeth. Aarav offered her water and she gargled before thanking Aarav.

"Do you really want to go shopping today? I think we should just cancel it", Aarav suggested as he scooped her in his arms and headed outside.

"I want to go!!", Shreya whined.

"Okay! Okay! But first rest for a while", Aarav said as he climbed the stairs.

"Then you will have to sleep with me too!", Shreya said staring at him.

Aarav smiled and kicked the door open before whispering a soft okay. He laid her on the bed covering her body with the duvets. He also got inside the duvets whilst she rested her head on his arm and wrapped her arm around his torso. He pecked her eyes, nose, lips and her temple before she fell asleep in his arms.

"YES AANCHAL DI!...Yeah we will collect the bridal wear!...No! I don't know where Rishi is... no he didn't inform... oh... okay! Is Dad back home?... yeah fine if we get late we will have dinner outside... don't worry Di!...Yeah byee!", Shreya ended the call sighing.

"You seem frustrated", Aarav stated as he parked the car in the parking arena.

"Mood swings", Shreya mumbled dryly.

"Okay", Aarav said as they entered the boutique from where they had to collect the bridal wear.

Rest of the time passed by in a blur with them shopping for things and buying a perfect gift for Manish and Shweta's anniversary. After everything was done, Shreya sighed in relief. She was tired and all she wanted was to sleep.
