"And so we waited," Frisk whispered.
"We waited for him to return," Inana continued.
"Or for the nightmares to return," Sans shivered.
"We waited for days," Toriel said quietly.
"We waited for weeks," Undyne didn't shout for once.
"W-We waited f-f-for months," Alphys stuttered.
"The Underground was in a wreck," Asgore sounded, shaking his head sadly.
"Everyone was frightened for their sleep," Extrix stated.
"Everyone was scared of unknown places," Itia said solemnly.
"DARK CORNERS ALMOST WHISPERED DEATH TO THOSE WHO FOUND THEM," Papyrus looked down at the ground, pondering something.
"No one was okay, not anymore," Jaylynn breathed.
"But I would not return for some time." Nightmare smiled through the darkness before it drowned the light out.
"Though that is a story for next time."
