"Now I knew that this could take us more than one tries, so.." Peter dug into his pockets, revealing a bunch of crumpled papers. "I made these formulas during Physics."

"Nice."

Immediately, they placed the papers down and grabbed the materials they needed.

Sodium chloride

Sulfur

Iodine

Sulphate

Liquid Bromine

(pLEASE KNOW I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHEMISTRY)

"I think... This should do it.." (Y/n) sighed. "There's only one more thing left to do.."

Peter nodded, taking the baking soda from out of the desk drawer, carefully lifting up towards the test tube. She held his hand, guiding it to be able to apply an ample amount of the powder.

They shut their eyes as it went in, afraid of what might happen. Peter quickly placed it down and stepped away from the formula, (Y/n) hiding behind him.

The bottom began to bubble. It bubbled some more. And it bubbled a whole lot more! This worried the both of them.

Please don't explode please don't explode please don't explode

After a short while, the bubbles settled. (Y/n) and Peter neared their faces towards the test tube, and observed it. Slowly, it began changing color. From a dark and dull brown to a bright violet.

They did it!

"Yes!" Peter punched the air. "Can you believe I've never actually gotten that right before?" he laughed.

(Y/n) held her hand out for a high-five, which Peter took of course. She then proceeded to write down her observations on her note book. Along came their proctor, Mr. Madison.

"Well, (L/n), Parker." He smiled, pulling down his glasses a bit. "Nice work. Not bad for a new student."

He then took the test tube from the rack, and pulled out a red marker. He marked the tube with an A+, creating a bright smile on (Y/n)'s face.

And as if on cue, the bell rings.

Everyone was with either with a friend or literally a crowd of friends. The hallways were so narrow that it felt impossible to breathe. (Y/n) came from her locker, now heading her way into the cafeteria.

Ah, the cafeteria.

Where people are classified through their personalties or physical appearances. Where students of all kinds either come together or separate. Where anyone could either be a freak or that guy everyone wants to sit next to. (Y/n) wasn't gonna lie; she felt nervous.

Peter left her side a few moments ago, saying that he needed a few things to take care of. (Y/n) felt like she was in no place to ask him what that "thing" was, or when he'll be back, so she nodded, and went on on her own.

She lined up, following the other students. She gained looks from everyone. She hoped they were only staring at her because they knew she was new around here. It would be terrible to have someone talk bad things about on your FIRST day.
