"Woah, it's gone dark?" (Y/n) asked herself, staring outside Peter's window. "God, time flew by so quickly."
"O-Oh. Uhh." Peter responded, dropping his pencil and notebook as he stood up. "Gosh, do you have a curfew or something? I'm so sorry- I lost track of the time and-"
"No, its fine. I don't really have a time limit Or anything but I really think I should get home."
Peter's eyes widened. "L-Let me walk you there!" He blurted out.
(Y/n) was just about to reach for the doorknob but Peter's sudden outburst stopped her. She gave him a warm smile, letting go.
"Alright. If its not much of a bother."
Peter sighed. "Not at all!"
She nodded, getting her pen and small notebook and placing the both of them back in her pockets. Peter opened his door, allowing (Y/n) to head out first. She nodded, smiling at him once again.
They tiptoed as they walked out, hoping they wouldn't alert May our anything. Peter didn't bother calling out her name. (Y/n) approached her backpack by the sofa but was surprised when she saw May there, soundly sleeping. Her round glasses were still on and so was the TV. Peter turned it off, placing a blanket on top of his aunt. (Y/n)'s heart melted at his sweet gesture.
They headed for the door, and quietly walked out.

"The city that never sleeps." (Y/n) quotes. "I guess they weren't kidding."
Peter laughs, as they walked pass the busy streets of Queens, hands in their pockets. Despite the evening hour, a lot of people remained occupied. Some were heading to their night shifts while some were getting home. Cars and buses were blaring their horns, motorcycles zooming past them.
"So, where do you live?" Peter asks, turning his gaze at (Y/n).
She raised her eyebrows. "Right there." She points.
Peter nodded, keeping up his pace. He took a better look at the building that (Y/n) promised to be her apartment. It sure was big. It looked spacious. He couldn't wait to be invited there someday.
"We're here." She sighs, looking up as of she's never seen the building before. "See you at school Pete. Thanks for today!" She bid goodbye, heading in for the glass double doors. "Wait!" She backs up, facing Peter again. "Sorry, before I forget..."
Peter eagerly waited.
"Can I have your number?"
His heart froze. "Huh?"
"Your number, Peter. Can I have it?" She repeated. "You know, for further questions about the project."
"Oh!" Peter laughs. "Right, sure."
(Y/n) was just about to get her small notebook but she shook her head and thought of a better idea. "Wait, no. . Can I borrow your phone instead?"
Peter nodded, taking it out of his pocket. (Y/n) dialed in her number and saved it in his contacts, giving it the name (Nickname). Afterwards, she gave it back.
"(N/n)?" Peter read, raising his brows.
"Yeah. My nickname." She chuckled. "You've earned it. Send me a message so I can save your number."
Peter smiled a bashful smile, not being able to remove his eyes off his phone. Once he looked up, (Y/n) was already inside the building, making him wave intensely, yelling out the words "Bye! See you tomorrow!"
"Bye Peter!" Said (Y/n) for the last time, before she saw her friend fully turn around, placing his phone and his hands inside his pockets and making his way back home.
