"Yes I understand." Felicia said walking out of the building. Her thoughts wouldn't stop,
" Why wont they hire me, is it because I'm a woman or because I'm just to too average, too plain?"  She sat on a park bench watching the ducks come towards her. "I apologize little guys, I have no food for you."  A man came over and sat. "How do you do?" He said as he took off his hat and fixed his hair.  Felicia smiled "I'm fine." She giggled, "How about you?" The man looked at her. "You don't sound fine." He scooted closer to her. "No, really I'm fine."  The man didn't believe her. "Listen my names Darrel, I'm always here feeding the birds if you need to talk." He began to stand up to leave. She grabbed his shirt. "Your right, I'm not fine." He sat next to her again. "I knew it, now whats wrong?" He asked. Felicia stared at him, "shouldn't we get to know each other before I tell you my personal problems?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose."
He fixing his hair again. She smiled "well my name is Felicia, I'm 19!" Darrel smiles realizing how beautiful she was. "My name is Darrel as you know, I just turned 22" he said. Without hesitation she began telling him what was bothering her. "I want to perform at the restaurant down the street, they wont hire me though." She looked down at her feet. Darrel put his hand on her shoulder. "One day someone will hire you, that day was just not today, don't let it ruin your day." He told her. She instantly felt happiness again. "Thank you Darrel!" She said as she hugged him.
Darrel walked away and Felicia stayed on the bench smiling.
