Chapter Twenty Two- Winner

Start from the beginning

Almost at the same exact time my phone had a vibrating attack. It vibrated and it didn't know what to do so it just kept vibrating. Once I opened the first message which was from Zoey it stopped vibrating. 'I told Jake and he is so happy as am I. It's awesome to have my little James back. I was starting to wonder who I would talk about hot guys with if you were blind. You just settled my nerves.' I couldn't help but giggle a little bit.

I opened the other message that I had which I was guessing was from Chris. 'I'm so glad to hear that. Want me to come over tomorrow? We can play some video games or watch a movie. Whatever you want to do.' I decided to reply

'I'll let you know later.' I replied. I finished my second bowl of cereal, got my bags and went outside to the bus stop. It was one of those perfect spring mornings where you could smell the humidity because it had rained the night before. Everything felt fresh and it was like my body was rejuvenating itself. I could see the bus in the distance and picked up my bags so when it arrived I would be ready. I was pretty excited to see Ashley. I had never seen her so it was going to be weird.

The bus was almost at my driveway so I walked closer to the road. The bus stopped, the door opened, and a girl started to walk down the steps. I was guessing it was Ashley coming down the step to help me just like she had the day before. "Are you Ashley?"

"Yeah, are you ready to get on the bus?" She asked trying to grab my bags from me.

"You don't have to take my bags. Guess what?" I asked. I could see the curiosity in her face but she didn't know I could see her. "My sight came back last night."

"Oh my God! I am so happy for you. That is ama-"

"Hurry up, I'm on a schedule here."

"Lets continue this on the bus." She said as she walked up the stairs. She sat down then scooched over to the other side so that I could sit down. I put my track bag on my lap and my book bag on top of that. "So is everything like normal now? Does everything look the same as it did?"

"Yeah everything is pretty perfect. I think my sight might actually be better or something possibly." Ashley was definitely a beautiful girl. She had beautiful dirty blonde hair, so there were streaks of brown in her hair, and I had never seen a messy bun that looked as perfect as hers did. The green of her eyes seemed to just take you into an emerald sea and the blue specs were like crystals in the emeralds. The way she smiled made her look like she was running for Americas Next Top Model and I couldn't help but notice how perfect her posture was. She was slightly tan like she was a soccer player. She also had perfect eyebrows.

"Well that sounds crazy, but then again you did like my cousin and you still may even after he caused you to go blind."

"Yeah I guess you're right. I'm going to have to start dealing with him again for track. I can't just ignore him there. I was talking to him because I thought he would have to help me with things but now that he doesn't I'll have to try to amend the friendship between him and I."

"You're probably right. Just don't jump into anything with him. So you told me there was another guy you liked yesterday. How is that going? What's his name? Give me details."

"Well his name is Chris, and he is from another school and he also does track. I met him at a track meet and he is so sweet. When I told him what happened he immediately offered to help me get back on my feet for track so I cannot wait to see him again and spend some time with him."

"What is he like?" I could tell that she was really interested. She reacted in a very different way than Zoey did. She seemed like she cared more than Zoey had recently about my problems. It was possibly because she spent more time with Ryan than she did with me.
