You know those moments where you're so speechless that you can't even move? Not even a blink? Yeah, that's me right now. I'm on my lunch break and decided to come down to the nearest food place. Little did I know, Aaron Judge would be sitting 4 tables away from me. He must be filling up before BP. I knew Aaron in high school. I used to have the biggest crush on him and ever since I saw him come up to the Yankees, I've been glued to my tv watching every game. I kept wondering if I should go up to him. Maybe he'll remember me. Although, I doubt it because we only really had a few classes together and I was definitely not as popular as Aaron.

I've decided against it. I continued to put my headphones in and finish eating my meal. From the corner of my eye I see a few guys walk in. I look towards them and they spot Judge almost instantly. Without taking my headphones out I can already tell they asked for his autograph, seeing as he was signing a bunch of napkins that were at his table. He stood up for a few picture with them too. Geez he's taller than I remember.

I finished my food and threw away the left overs. I proceeded to walk to the bathroom so I could wash my hands and face before I went back to work. No one was in the bathroom with me so I just tied my hair back and looked at myself in the mirror. I wash my hands then splash a bit of water on my face so I don't look as tired. I look up at myself in the mirror and sign. "You idiot" I laugh at myself. I maybe should've at least said hi to the guy. I mean it wouldn't hurt.

I got one last look at myself before I let my hair back down, fix it up a bit and make my way back to work. I open the door to leave the ladies room. I start walking out and as I make my way towards the dining area again I notice Aaron gathering more napkins for himself. I laugh a little. He must've ran out of napkins from signing them all. Just my luck the only exit would be having to walk straight past him. My heart is racing. I'm not good in these situations and at this point I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I take a few steps closer. "Excuse me" I say quietly but loud enough for him to hear. He looks my way and scoots up a bit. I walk away but I swear I can still feel his gaze.

"Hey, wait!" He says.

I'm frozen again. But I can hear his footsteps and suddenly a giant warm hand is placed on my shoulder causing me to turn and face him.

"I uh.. w-what's your name?" He asks. Jesus. I feel like I'm about to collapse. I look directly into his eyes and take in his cologne. This is a dream.

"Lola" I manage to blurt out. I can't believe that after all these years, my feelings towards him are all coming back to me instantaneously.

"Lola Evans, right?" Wow. He remembered me. "God, I haven't seen you since high school. I forgot you came to college in New York after we graduated." He laughs.

I chuckled a bit "How do you remember all that Aaron?" I could see him blushing a bit and it made my smile even wider.

"You were one of the many few in our graduating class to leave California. Plus you sat a few desks away from me in a few of our classes. So uhh..how's life treating you?" He gestured for me to sit down with him at a table.

I began to sit and said "Well after I graduated I was offered a job at the high school I would student teach at. Now I work there as a full time English teacher. I'm on my lunch break now. Should be heading back soon actually" I looked down at my watch. I had about 15 minutes before lunch ended.

"That's amazing Lo." He hasn't called me that since senior year when he asked me what the math homework was that day. "How's your mom?"

"She remarried after I graduated high school and got pregnant. I'm a big sister now" I laugh. "Brothers name is Dylan."

"...Boyfriend?" He asked. I coughed a bit and shook my head.

"Nope" I looked down. Geez. Didn't have a boyfriend in high school, don't have one now. Loser.

"That's good - I mean, no. That's bad. Not that not having a boyfriend is bad. A-and there's no problem with you having one. I-I just..." he took a second to gather his thoughts and while I try not to scream at what he just said.

I look down at my watch and notice that I should probably start heading out. "Oh god. Sorry AJ, I would really like to finish this conversation but I have to be heading back to my next class."

"W-would you maybe like to catch up some more later on?" He sighed and looked at me hopefully.

"Don't you have a game later? It's a school night, I can't be out past 10."

He smiled. "Come to my game. It's at 7. I'll take you home afterwords."

"O-okay." I smile and start getting up. He scribbled something on the napkin and hands it to me.

"Call me later" he winks and I nearly melt. Is he flirting? Huh. After all this time? Well buddy two can play at this game.

"Only if you hit a homer for me" I bite my lip and take the napkin from him. "Bye Judge." I turn around but he stops me again. He started leaning down towards my face, looking at my eyes then down towards my lips. His hand snakes it's way to my waist and gently squeezes. My heart starts racing and then suddenly what I've been waiting for since I was a teenager. His lips meet mine just for a moment. He stopped, looked at me again and then slammed his lips over mine again. We kissed for a few seconds before he broke away for the second time. "I've been wanting to do that since freshman year" he laughs.

"I could say the same AJ" I smile. My stomach was full of butterflies. I can't believe we liked each other for that long without either of us knowing.

Hours later the game finished. He hit 2 homers in the game and let's just say the kiss in the restaurant wasn't the only kiss we shared that day.
