This was fate

It was lovely summer night in the land of Hoshido, Prince Ryoma of Hoshido had held a ball, to celebrate the ending of the war between the kingdoms of Nohr and Hoshido. The prince also had plans to re-introuce the royals of the kingdom of Nohr to his siblings. He was hoping they could start a relationship between the kingdoms, he wanted his siblings to bond with the Nohrians. The Nohrian Royals were to arrive at 8pm, the ball started at 7:30pm, people from both kingdoms were welcomed, as the Hoshidan Royals entered the ballroom, they saw many familiar faces. There was Laslow hitting on Kagero, Niles talking to a very flustered Subaki, Kaze and Saizo talking to Felicia and Flora, Kaze doing most of the talking of course, and many more. Princess Sakura an Hinoka were by the table of sweets has they had finished greeting everyone Sakura was the first to speak "I'm actually nervous to see the Nohrians here tonight, how are you feeling big sister?" Hinoka nodded and looked at her, "I'm not too nervous, I mean we've known them for months now, and fought slongside them, nothing to be nevous about Sakura."

As the clock striked 8, the Nohrian Roayls ha entered the ballroom as Yukimura had begun annoucing their arrival. "Princesses of Nohr, Lady Camilla and Lady Elise, Princes' of Nohr, Lord Xander, and Lord Leo" the guest clapped as they waved and made their way to the Hoshidan Royals who had gathered to say their welcomes. They greeted each other, shook hands as then Ryoma spoke. "I hope you all have a great night tonight, there is food, drinks, and a dance floor" he smiled at them. The youngest princess of Hoshido looked up at the Nohrian Royals, Camilla was wearing a black knee-high dress, with high heels, Elise, a short lilac dress, Corrin was wearing was wearing a dark blue dress, Azura was wearing a similiar dress but a lighter shade of blue, Leo was wearing a dark brown suit. The youngest Princess then looke at the eldest prince of Nohr, he was wearing a black suit with a purple tie, the princess caught herself staring at him, when she looked at his facial fetures, she was then met with his gaze. She blushed and quickly looked away, but was that blush she'd seen on his face? 

She quickly excused herself, as she headed towards a table were both royals of the kingoms would be sitting. She sat down next to her sister who started talking to Princess Camilla, Takumi and Leo were talking to each other while walking around the ballroom. Ryouma, Elise, and Xander were taling to both Corrin, and Azura. Sakura listened to the music being played, as she instanty got lost in it while closing her eyes, listening to melody of the piece. When she opened her eyes she realized Camilla had dragged Hinoka to the dance floor and made her dance with Leo. They both blushed, Camilla giggled grabbed Takumi and danced with him, Takumi wasn't a great dancer, Sakura could tell since he stepped on Camilla's feet quite often, but it seemed she didn't mind. Sakura looked around again, Ryouma had taken Azura to dance, M!Corrin danced with his younger sister Elise, and it seemed like F!Corrin was asking Xander if he would like to dance. As Sakura saw this, she felt her chest tighten up, she liked the older prince, she had even told her sister Corrin. The youngest princess quickly wipe forming tears from her eyes, as she saw them head to the dance floor. She closed her eyes and tried taking her mind off the situation.

As Xander was dancing with his sister, he looked over at the lonely Princess sitting at the table, he looked back and Corrin and said "I'm sorry I have to go.." he said this as he started walking over to the table where Sakura sat. F!Corrin was a sad, but then heard Elise calling for her, to join her and M!Corrin while dancing, all three held hands and tried dancing, F!Corrin knew she shouldn't worry about what happened with Xander, she knew Jakob would dance with her. Xander arrived at the table and sat next to the Princess, she still ha her eyes closed. He wanted to ask her to dance, even if only his retainers knew, he had feelings for the younger princess, she had stolen his heart the first time they met, and he fell for her even deeper when he found himself in the medical tent, the princess healing him and reassuring him everything was alright. He blushes and looked at the Princess next to him, he slightly coughed and she quickly opened her eyes. Xander quickly noticed "Oh Princess! I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you!" Sakura noded "I-It's o-okay" she sniffled and faked a small smile. Xander looked at her face, nose a slightly red, he thought he'd better not ask, but he then heard the piece playing. "Would you like to dance?" he asked nervously, Sakura's heart beat fast at his question, she nodded. Xander and Sakura stood up, made their way to the dance floor,  it was a slow piece. Xander held her close as they danced, he then spoke "Princess may I tell you something?" Sakura looked up at him and nodded. "Of c-course." he then spoke "I want to tell you that this piece you for you, because you are the queen to my heart". Sakura blushed at his words, he looked at her, as he to started to blush and spoke again "We meet on that day, as soon as I looked into your eyes, and I got lost in them. So many nights I saw you in the medical tent, taking care of those who were injured. I don't know if you feel the same way, about me but I hope you enjoy this dance that includes you and I." Sakura blushed and kept dacing, she knew she would have to tell him her true feelings once he was done talking. "Dance with me and dream, that I'm that prince you've been waiting for." Xander blushed, kept holding her close as they danced. Sakura blushed and started to speak. "Y-You are the Prince I've dreamt with many nights...I saw you in the battlefield, many times I dreamt of this night..Th-That night when you were in the medical tent..I couldn't sleep, so I slept in a chair, next to the bed you were resting in. The truth be told... I've had feelings for you in a while now...just never had the courage to tell you" Sakura said as she looked at him and he looked back at her. "Would you like to spend the rest of this night with me? A-At this ball I mean, we can talk and get to know each other" "I would love that" Sakura said as the piece ended and they both walked back to the table.

They talked and laughed all night until the party ended. Xander promised her, he would come back to Hoshido, and take her on a date, so he could show her the beauty of Nohr. She agreed and told him she would be waiting for him tomorrow.
