Part 1 - Tickets

A/N: Hey! As you can tell, this is my first thing to ever go up on wattpad. It's actually the first to go up on the internet at all. So uhh... yeah sorry- it may suck. Also I kinda wrote this like it was my life, which is probably different from yours... So yeah if you don't have a dog or a round table just pretend I guess. Anywho, I hope you enjoy! Cover art for this chapter made by me. Idk I just kinda threw it together in like 20 min. (also bold means A/N and italic means text messages)

Reader's POV

"(y/n)! DINNER'S READY!"
"ACK SORRY I'M COMING!" I drop my drawing stylus and make sure to save my work so far. I had been sketching some random youtubers just for practice. Even when doing something as simple as that I get so into my work I have trouble pulling myself away. I took off my glove and quickly rolled back in my chair.
"Heh- sorry. I had to escape from my groove." I say, sliding into the kitchen in my fluffy socks.
"You're all good, hun. I know how it gets." My mom hands me my plate of food and we go to sit down at our little round table. My dog runs over at the smell of food, and lurks underneath for the entirety of the meal. I prop up my iPad on a little stand and turn on my headphones. I go straight to youtube and watch some of Mark, Jack, and Ethan's new videos. My mom does the same but instead continues whatever her current read is.
After we finish eating I thank her for the meal and head back in my room. I was going to continue drawing, but I notice a few text messages on my phone. They're from my dad.

Dad: Hey (y/n), I have a bit of a confession to make. Remember when I said maybe to you going to PAX East? Well it's a definite yes! I bought three tickets. You're gonna go with your brother and you can take Rose. (your best friend) I talked with your mom, Stephen (your brother) and Rose's parents and they all said yes! (before I bought the tickets of course.) I secured you guys meetups with everyone mom said she's heard you talking about. I may be able to get another one if I missed someone. We'll have to be quick though.

A/N: I'm sorry I've never been to PAX I've only been to Playlist Live and that's how that works so I'm gonna stick with what I know. If it's not how PAX works... oh well. We can pretend. What fanfics are realistic anyways??

I pick up my phone in shock. One last text arrives saying,

Dad: I hope I surprised u :)

You: Yes! You certainly did! Thank you so much!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

My thumbs fly across the screen, messing me up many a time. Luckily autocorrect has my back.

You: Does Rose know yet?

Dad: Nope! Not unless her parents told her. I didn't tell them not to. Should I check with them?

You: nah it's fine.

I lay back on my bed, thinking about what just happened. I'm going to PAX! This has been my dream since I found out PAX existed when I was twelve. I'm so glad I get to share it with two of my favorite people. Actually- more than than! Counting mark, jack, and Ethan, that's five. The day can't come soon enough.

(Timeskip. Yay.)

They day had come. Me and Rose were hopping in the plane with our carry ons in hand. We were holding hands, something we had been doing since we met in fifth grade. Most people thought we were gay anyway- why deceive them? We sat down in our seats after arguing playfully over the window seat. We talked slightly too loudly for the situation as we're nervous yet excited. Nervouscited? I don't know. All I know is I was looking forward to seeing my older brother again. He lives in Boston, where PAX east is held, so that's the main reason my dad agreed to buy tickets. Once the plane took off and we were allowed to get our things I pulled out my iPad, drawing stylus, and glove. Rose pulled out her laptop to write.
"What are you going to draw?" Rose asked. Resting her head on my shoulder.
"Haha! What do you think?!" I reply as I name the file, "meeting the faves" Rose laughs as she puts her headphones on and turns to her laptop.
The plane ride is about 3 hours long, and you only start to get uncomfortable in the last 45 minutes.
"Dammit I shouldn't have drank that giant frappuccino before we got on the plane..." I say out of the blue.
"Huh?" Rose takes off her headphones and looks at me.
"I can wait." I turn back to my work and rose does the same, slightly confused.

(Woot another time skip.)

We land and frantically pack our stuff as people start to leave the plane. I get a text from Stephen when I turn off airplane mode.

Steeb: hey goon I'll b out near baggage claim I'll b looking for you let me know when you land

You: okay sure we just got on the ground leaving the plane now

Steeb: alrighty see u soon

You smile as you turn to rose.
"You ready to go?" I ask.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" We throw on our bags and head towards the door to the plane. Once out and about, back on my feet, I pull rose by the hand straight to the nearest bathroom. When I've finished with that I start practically running towards baggage claim.
"Jeez, (y/n). This is unlike you. Exercise? What is this?" Rose joked from her position of being dragged behind me.
"MUST. SEE. STEEEB." I pant, trying to run even faster.
"(y/n)! It's right over there! Soothe your boobs!" Her exclamation makes you laugh. You slow down as you enter the hallway, as there is a security guard making sure no one comes in the other way. This gives rose a chance to catch up so she does so eagerly.
"Ugh can we not run? R- running sucks." She panted. I laugh and grab her hand again.
"Okay fine... WE CAN SPRINT." I say, apparently quite loudly- as a few heads turn.
"GAH" rose nearly falls on her face as I spot my brother standing awkwardly, looking at his phone.
"STEEEEEEEEEB!!" I let go of roses hand and practically jump on Stephen.
"Ahh! Oh hey goon. How ya doin? Where's your friend?" He ruffles my (h/c) hair. I turn around to see Rose jogging over to us, out of breath. I laugh and apologize for dragging her across the airport.
"Oh it's alright. I know you, I should've expected it. I remember you would talk about him everyday for a month before you were supposed to see him."
"Hey! It's not my fault I love my brother!" I wrap my arms around him again and smile. I really do love him. Ever since he moved away to go to college, I've missed him and tried to see him as much as possible.
"Love you too, goon." He chuckles.
"Anyway, let's get our bags and get outta here!" Rose says from behind me, and the three of us calmly walk to pick up our bags.
"I'm glad I told dad to rent us a car. It's way too far to walk from my apartment but a fairly short drive. Plus now we don't have to call an uber."
"Ooohh so that's why you 'spontaneously decided to come pick us up' I knew it was out of character." I say, punching him lightly in the shoulder. He pretended like it hurt by rubbing his arm. "Well I mean it wasn't just for the car! I also wanted to be nice... I guess..." me and Rose laughed, exchanging glances. The events for PAX were to start the next day, and we already knew this trip was going to be incredible.

A/N: okay I'm sorry for all the sibling stuff I just saw my actual brother (who this character basically is) a few days ago and he left so... I have my reasons okay.
