I find an absence in all things,

All beings are lacking to me,

I see vacuous space in roses,

And festering plagues in beauty.

Words are starting to lose meaning,

Once coveted chapters are bare,

Hopelessness where once enthrallment,

I cannot find interest anywhere.

At night the darkness consumes me,

There as a hollow limitation,

To see me fail my endeavours,

View my pathetic stagnation.

And things which once brought me pleasure,

Shatter my rare glimpses of light,

Instability now defines me,

Too weak, I've given up my fight.
