"...Although the dessert was perfectly executed and actually tasted real good, i could not say the same for the main course. I have tasted this dish a lot of times and all I can say is Chef Rayz Matsumoto is losing his touch. It did not taste the same as it did 8 years ago when it won the most coveted Catie Awards for Main Courses. Sad to say that..."
Zach did not finish reading the review. He crumpled the newspaper containing the article. Just as he threw the crumpled paper, Rayz walked in. He looked at the ball of paper as it fell on the floor near the door.
"Zach, let it go... It's not as if it's the first bad review we've had." Rayz said a he sat down on the swivel chair watching his son pace back and forth with an annoyed look on his face.
"Dad, I just couldn't let it go. It's your reputation's that's on the line. I would have gladly accepted it if she criticized me, since I was the one who made the dishes. If only I had not tweaked the original recipe." Zach replied.
"Zach you are allowed to tweak it since this venture is your own. It make carry the Chef R Foods name but you have to make it your own. You of all people know that every branch that carries that famous recipe tweaks it to make it original for that branch. So stop obsessing about it. I'm sure if that Ayumi Nakahara has tasted your dishes she would have definitely gone to heaven." Rayz chuckled a he tried to calm his son.
Zach did not reply. He just stared at the crumpled newspaper on the floor. Only two words kept ringing in his ears.
Ayumi Nakahara.
