The Right One

Pilot

     I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. To tired to get up , i let it ring until it stops. Thats until it started ringing again. Fustrated, i get up to grab my phone off my dresser and answer it while i lay back down. I check to see whos calling and see its my brother Jayden. Jaydens only 9 months younger then me but were both 17.
    
      "Hello", i say tiredly. "David, its Jayden, ayee last night was crazy dude", he says chuckling. I laugh too remembering the events from last nights crazy last day of summer party. "Yeah it was pretty crazy", i say chuckling tiredly. "Hell yeah , party of the year if you ask me" he says. "Where are you?", i ask wondering why its so quiet where hes at. "Im downstairs eating cereal", he says with a mouthful of cereal. I laugh, "alright ill be down in a bit". "Alright , AND HURRY UP", he shouts before hanging up.

       I lay their in my bed , still in my boxers too lazy to get up. After 10 minutes of laying down on my phone, i finally get up, put on a pair of shorts and make my way downstairs where my brothers now eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

        "Damn bro dont you ever get tired of eating?" I say joking around with him. "Aye im in great shape aint i, once this six pack goes away then ill let you talk" he says seriously then continues to eat his sandwich. I grab my protein shake and a peace of toast and sit next to my brother. I turn and see him staring at me, "what?" I say with toast in my mouth. "Is that what your eating for breakfast?", he asks. "Yeah , i gotta stay in shape , football seasons starting up again. And if im gonna be starting quarterback i gotta be in the best shape", i say finishing the rest of my toast. "Whatever bro, but aye , last night dude", he starts laughing, "it was crazy, i got so many girls numbers", he says proud of himself. "Dont you have a girlfriend?", i ask curiously, "no , she broke up with me last night", he says laughing. I chuckle  to myself knowing he wasnt gonna last with her. "What about you, how many numbers did you get?", i laugh, "i have a girlfriend dude, and unlike you i respect her", i say chuckling. "Who? , Ashley ? Come on dude we both know you could do better" he says. I finish off my shake and walk to the sink , "yeah well i dont play the games you play , we've been together for 7 months man, i love her and thats all that matters", i say putting my cup in the sink.
   
         Almost on cue , my older brother and sister Julian and Ariana walk into the kitchen. Julian and Ariana are phaternal twins. There only 2 years older then me and Jayden. They live with my mom Gabriella, whos divorced with my dad Antonio, but stood the night last night because they were too intoxicated to drive back.

        "How are my handsome little brothers the night after?" She says smiling. "Did you guys get any numbers last night?", Julian asks. "You already know i did", Jayden says proudly. "Hmmm , what about you david?", my sister asks while taking a sip of her coffee. They all look at me waiting for an answer , "come on guys , you already know i have a girlfriend", i say again . "You could do better", they all say at the same time. I chuckle, "whats so bad about her?", i ask wondering why they all dislike her. "I dont know maybe because she gets so jealous when you talk to any girl", jayden says. "And she hardly lets you go out with out her", Julian says. "Trust me david , she isnt the one, you'll find her soon. And when the day comes you'll thank us for telling you", Ariana says while sipping her cup of coffee again. "Alright well todays the last day of summer break so im gonna go lay down and listen to music for a while", i say getting up and heading upstairs.

      As soon as i lay down my phone starts ringing. I check and see that its Ashley. "Hello", i answer. "Hey david, how was your family dinner at your moms house last night?" She askes, i sit up quick forgetting that i lied to her so that i could go to the party. "Oh the dinner , yeah it was fun being with everyone", i say studdering because im the worst liar. "Thats nice , well i just got back from my dads house", she says tiredly. Shes been in Florida these last 3 weeks so we havent seen eachother since shes left. "And im not feeling so good so i think ima just rest today, ill see you tomorrow at school though", she says happily. "Okay well then ill let you rest", i say understanding shes not feeling good. "Okay bye , love you" shes says, "me too", i reply before hanging up and falling back onto my bed. "So how was that dinner last night at moms?" I hear someone say, i look up to see Jayden standing by my door laughing. "Shut up ,if she knew i was partying last night she'd freak the hell out", i say seriously. "Hmm lets just hope she doesnt see any of the pictures people posted of all of us last night", he says walking away laughing. I groan and turn on my music , drifting back into sleep slowly.
