Sand brushed against her feet, and her eyes glowed like a fire that was like a fierce fire that was little but was to one day grow into a blinding sun. Jest saw this within her, for a moment he saw a dream within those eyes, a dream though so far off, it held a strong belief within her. He began to wonder if she was the Queen he was to capture the heart of, he was still unsure for she held no crown, yet her eyes where glowing with the breath of life he dreamed she would be. About to step towards the maiden with those fierce eyes he heard a tap against a ticking clock and turned to Hatta who was with apparent scowl written across his face as if he was fearing to become madder with each second they wasted. Jest sighed slightly and remained focus on the task at hand he must first become a court Jester.

"Must you scowl so?" asked Jest with a light hearten smile. Hatta had not taken his eyes of of his watch as they walked down the trial.

"We are not here to fall in love or play games Jest. We are here to save Chess by stealing the heart of the Queen. Do not get distracted, each second we waste is a step closer to madness, so please do not mess this mission up Jest," he stated calculated as he closed the watch and looked at the sky.

"Since when have I let you or anyone down?" joked Jest smirking as he ran off to the Kingdom.

"We all must be doomed if we place all hope in this madness," sighed Hatta looking at the Pumpkin seeds that the sisters had given him.

Raven swoop down onto Jest's shoulder catching up, "He does have a rather good point though," he stated.

Jest swatted it away with his gloved hand, and laughed, "Is there really this much distrust to me accomplishing this?" Jest laughed heavily why could his friends not trust him with this mission? He has not failed them yet.

"I am only saying Jest you are my friend and I know you well. If your heart yearned for anyone it is for this Queen. You must be careful for your heart to not be stolen," Raven inquired.

"We have already spoke of this matter Raven, just trust me, and no more speaking of this these people seem to be quite the eavesdroppers,"

Raven nodded to this as the reached the village. Jest smirked he knew the exact way to impress the King, and especially the Queen. He knew them well from the books he read, and knew that sweats where their up most favorite of things, but also knew he had no idea how to bake. If he did the whole kitchen would probably end up in flames. So he decided to steal some of Hatta's surely he would not mind such thievery.

"Show time" he muttered to himself as he whirled himself off into a fog of smoke and found himself upon the throne room's crystal chandelier. He made not a sound as he saw the King squealing with delight to hear something from an older couple kneeling before him. Jest only stared a moment confused there was no queen. Raven confused as well flew off to find the reason to why it was so.

Jest still had a job to do, and it was to make it as a court Jester. Raven flew back telling of the news that he over heard from the couple.

"The Queen has not yet been betrothed, a Lady named Catherine Pinkerton will be the one who shall bear the crown on the night of marrow when the King offers his hand to hers," said Raven in a bit of riddles. Jest grinned to this, it would be perfect challenge for him to try to commit to. Jest swoop down within a swirled fog and landed gracefully as a bird. As the fogged cleared, the King was spooked with excitement of what the jester before him was to do.
