I can't believe that's today is actually the last day of our vacation, Ashely thought sadly. " I wish I could stay here forever" she said to herself, wistfully. The months of gone by as fast as a lightning bolt. We had so much fun just sight seeing, swimming, and watching the waves come and go. So far everything has gone as planned with a few minor surprises. Today we are supposed to go to the beach one last time, and then board the plane after 30 minutes at the beach.
"Oh wait I need to go to the beach before mother has a heart attack" she said to herself. I hastily pull on my bathing suit, and hurriedly headed out to the mesmerizing beach. I sit on my tanning chair that my mum set up for me, and start letting my eyes wander around finding my mom (Sera) a few tanning chairs, and my brother (Tristan) flirting with girls as usual, although he's not getting any. What's interesting is my bro does this all the time; he has never had a girlfriend. Now enough about Tristan, let's talk about what I'm doing. Although I'm sure you already know what I'm doing, I will tell you anyways, right now I'm simply enjoying the sun's warm rays against my skin, and observing the crystal clear ocean closely.
I was so intensely focused on the ocean's lapping waves, and recalling the memory of the salty water in my face a few days ago, the taste of salt on my lips , that I didn't realize the the ground was shaking immensely, and there was lava spewing from Kīlauea, until Sera's voice brought me back to the present. When Sera's voice brought me back to the present, I could see people running,screaming, and crying, in fact some people were so hysterical from panic, that they were actually rushing towards the lava. I saw all of that, but all I could focus on was Sera trapped in lava. I rush over to her as quickly as humanely possible, but she immediately pushes me away. "Are you trying to kill yourself, you nearly stepped in the lava?" Sera asked worried. "No it's just your surrounded by lava, and if I don't try to pull you out you will die." I replied feigning calmness. "Are you crazy, if you try to aid me all that will happen is both of us are going to die, so get out while you still can." Sera yelled. "No, I can't leave you, your my mother" I retorted. "You can, and you will if you die I will never forgive you, plus you couldn't save me even if you wanted to I'm surrounded by lava, and it's advancing."Sera stated fiercely.
I was about to argue, but then the lava encased Sera! I could feel my eyes tearing up, and my vision was blurring, but I told myself to be strong for Sera,Blake, and the sake of not dying. "Wait a minute, where is Blake?" I exclaimed. Ugh, how could I forget about my brother, I questioned myself. Okay, he must be around here somewhere, I say looking around, but instead of finding Blake I found an infant on the flowing lava!
I grab the baby, and run. I wished I could look for Blake, but I simply couldn't because the lava would have burned me to ashes, if I kept standing there, and looking for him. So instead I do what any other reasonable person would have done, I sprinted away with the infant in my arms.
