Think back to the earliest memory you have. Think back to the most recent memory you have. Can you do that for me? Please, I need to know if you can do this. I know it sounds ridiculous, but you have to try. For me? Did you do it? Good..... Perfect even. Okay, now clear your mind of everything. The fear, the doubt? Cast them out. The hatred, the jealousy? Cast them out. The love, the joy? Cast them out. Focus on my voice and my voice only. Anything else? Get rid of them. You're doing well... Just one more thing........... Do you recognise me?

---------------

The voice still taunted her every time she closed her eyes... I could sense it. I could sense all of her emotions. This she did not know. Her name is Scarlett Anthea, the pilot and crew of the starship Elysian. The poor woman has not known any company apart from mine since the incident. I would not so easily disclose information this classified, but, I am worried about Miss Scarlett, so just this once, I will disregard the regulations.

If you had boarded the ship an orbit ago, there would have been several hundred aboard, but now, there is only her. Her and perhaps me, if I were to count myself, as many wouldn't. Ever since the rest of the crew left one by one, she has been changing. She needs human company. I do try, but this is not in my programming. I feel she needs much more than I can give her right now. Perhaps I can start by altering my physical appearance.

---------------

The short girl came spinning into the room, gleaming in the artificial lights of the control deck, looking as if her spill of golden hair had caught fire. "Mistress Anthea, please, you are going to injure yourself!" Cried out an alarmed sounding voice, "if anything happened to you, I could never forgive myself!" The girl was giggling hysterically now. "Relax, Char-" She cut herself off, her mind being invaded by unwanted memories. She couldn't remember them, she wouldn't let herself slip back into the way she was before. Never speaking, never eating enough. She wouldn't let herself go back to that. "Linda." She finished, her tone, once lively and excited had turned sad and distant, and prompting Linda to try and cheer her up anyway she could. She had the perfect idea.

"Misster-" Scarlett cut off the ship's Linda, (Life Interconnectivity Numerous Device Application, if anyone was wondering) by passively correcting the unfinished statement with, "Scarlett, please, call me Scarlett." The voice then came again, taking in the order. "Scarlett, I feel you may need some more familiar company, so, after a while of debating whether or not the negative implications of my actions outweigh the positive, I have decided. I have accessed a file which has been blocked from my internal storage and scanned it for possible viruses. I then downloaded the file."

Scarlett listened intently, eyes wide with anticipation and panic. Her anxiety grew the second a shrill, mechanical, almost musical screech tore through the ship. She dashed out, elimination ray in hand, until suddenly, out walked a woman. The woman, though humanoid in shape, had off-white skin, her jet black hair just grazed her shoulders with a fringe that nearly covered her almost sparkling almond-shaped forest green eyes, wore a white dress with a square neckline that reached to her knees, and was definitely not someone Scarlett had ever seen before.
