i love you

he had searched everywhere. the bedroom, the living room, in between the couch cushions, the bathroom but to no avail. he couldn't find his ring and he was freaking out! it was the most precious item he owned because it wasn't just any ring. it was his wedding ring and now he had lost it. "god, jimin is going to kill me..." thought jungkook as he continued to search everywhere again.

as he was searching the living room again, jungkook could hear the door lock twist and then the door opened. there he was, park jimin, his beautiful husband. seeing jimin just made him think about the ring and he broke down crying on the floor, crawling over to jimin whilst mumbling 'sorry's over and over.

"kookie? baby, why are you crying?" jimin crouched down next to his husband, rubbing his back. to say jimin was shocked would be an understatement. it's not often that jungkook cries and jimin had never seen his husband cry this much before.

the younger didn't reply, just kept on mumbling 'sorry's as he hugged jimin and cried. jimin didn't know was to do. "jungkook, please tell me what's wrong!" begged jimin, on the verge of tears himself.

"i-i... i lost-i-" the taller couldn't form a proper sentence without stuttering, crying even more from embarrasment. "i'm sorry, chimchim, i fucked up..."

"what did you loose, jungkook? tell me!" hearing that his husband lost something kind of annoyed him.

"i lost my ring, hyung... i can't find it anywhere" jungkook said before big fat tears and loud sobs escaped him, clinging onto jimin as if he would disappear otherwise.

jimin felt horrible but at the same time very loved. he had hidden jungkook's wedding ring the night before after the younger had dosed off earlier than usual, thinking that he would figure out that it was jimin who was behind it. it was a revenge prank on jungkook as the younger had been pranking him a lot the past three months but jimin didn't expect jungkook to be so heartbroken about it.

"i'm so sorry, hyung! i'm such an idiot for losing it, please don't hate me!" cried jungkook, wetting jimin's jumper at the collarbone whilst still holding the older for dear life.

"baby, baby look at me" said jimin, carefully peeling jungkook off of him to look him in the eye. seeing jungkook's face only broke his heart more. "baby it was just a prank, i have your ring"

"what?"

"i'm sorry, baby, but you've been pranking me a lot so when you fell asleep early last night i decided to get revenge. i didn't think you'd react like this, i'm so sorry, jungkook" cooed jimin as he fished out the ring from his jean pocket, handing it to jungkook who just look at it in his hand.

"it was just a prank? i didn't actually lose it? oh thank god... i was so mad at myself" said jungkook with relief clear in his voice. "i guess i kind of deserved that though considering how many pranks i've pulled on you"

"you're not mad at me for taking my prank to the extreme?" asked jimin, kissing the tallers cheek.

"no i'm not, hyung, but please don't do that again. i seriously thought you were gonna hate me for losing it, i almost died of a heart attack" replied jungkook, putting the ring back on his left ring finger.

"i love you, baby"

"i love you too, hyung"

so this was originally supposed to be a yoonmin one shot but recently i've been obsessing over jikook so i decided to make it that instead.
