Before we start, I'd like to dedicate this story to a dear friend of mine, who absolutely loves Fili. I just wanted to write this to show her how much I cherish her as a friend.

(Name)

A girl sat in a bathtub, knees pulled up to her chest and her eyelids drooping over her big (e/c) eyes, watching as a couple of bubbles lazily floated around her legs. She looked tired, and bags swooped from one corner of her eye to the other. Her eyes were closing slightly, and her head nodded as she began to doze off into a light snooze.

The girl's head lay on the edge of the bathtub, and her arm slipped off of her shins, resting underneath the water by her sides as she was comfortably sleeping in a bubble bath.

Instantly, she snapped up, panting. The girl was no longer in her bathroom, enjoying a bath, though she still felt warm, as if she were still soaking in her warm bathtub. Suddenly, a smooth yet deep voice called out in concern.

"Who's there?" The voice demanded.

She stayed still, not daring to turn her head to the side. The voice was really close, as if the source was sitting right beside her. As she held her breath, she felt something lift her up as if she were merely a feather, and was swung around.

"H-hey!" She squeaked, trying to pull the person's arms off of her. But, she couldn't move her arms, nor her legs, although she could speak, hear, and turn around to see.

"Who's speaking?" The voice continued, moving forwards and turning to what seemed to be a window. The girl gasped lightly at what she saw. Before her stood peaks and parts of a mountain, some areas blanketed in glistening snow. From her point of view, it seemed as if they were on the mountain, or rather in the mountain. At the looks of the lighting, it appeared to be night. How did she even get here? Was this a dream?

Upon hearing the gasp, the voice, assumingely a man, looked around frantically.

"Show yourself!" He said loudly, but not loud enough that it hurt her ears.

"I-I'm right here! I don't even know where I am!" She said boldly, but couldn't help but stammer at the beginning. The man, on the other hand, sounded disbelieving as he spoke.

"How is your voice coming from here? This is merely a lantern! Are you a fairy or a creature of some magical sorts?" The voice whispered, quieting down.
But...a lantern? She looked down at her body and was shocked to see flickering lights.

"Agh! I'm on fire!" She shrieked, struggling to move her arms and legs to put it out, "Help!"

The man seemed extremely confused now, grunting in confusion.

"What do you mean? Of course you're on fire! Well, you're f-fire after all, dammit that doesn't make any sense!"
He set her down on the edge of the windowsill and leaned in, looking at her closely. She couldn't help but blush at his intense stare.

"Your voice sounds very feminine. Are you a girl? What's your name? My name is Fili." Boy, was this man talkative. While she was still gaping, still getting over the shock that she was a fire. God, this made no sense at all. Was she going insane?

Fili cleared his throat.
"Fairy lady, are you still there? Did I insult you in any way? Oh gosh, you must be a boy! That's why you're so quiet, you were offended! My apologies, sir, your voice sounded so melodic and sweet that I was sure that it belonged to a beautiful lady." He bowed deeply with a chuckle.

"O-oh! No no no. I-I am a girl, I believe... I mean- I am a girl! A female! Yes! I know that I'm a girl! I was quiet because I'm still shocked that I'm... I'm..." She stopped, lost for words.

"A fire?" Fili offered, raising a fine eyebrow.

"Y-yes! Exactly! I mean... why am I a fire? It makes no sense! One second I was in a nice bath, the next I'm in a lantern as a fire! God knows what's going on!" She stopped, thinking that she was forgetting something.

"Oh yes! I forgot to tell you. I apologize for being so rude. My name is (Name), I was just so shocked that I forgot to say, Fili." She giggled nervously, but somehow enjoyed saying this new and strange name rolling off of her tongue.

"Well then, (Name)..." He paused, as if savouring the word in his mouth as if it were a sweet treat, "It is nice to meet you. You do seem to talk a lot."

(Name) snorted softly, and very unladylike, but Fili didn't seem to mind. "I could say the same to you, Fili."

He scoffed and took a seat beside her, and an awkward silence passed between them.

"...where are you from?" Fili decided to break the silence with the question.

"Ah, I'm from (country name). Where is this?" She responded, looking up at Fili.

"(Country name)? I've never heard of there before. And I assumed that you knew where we are but, anyways, at the moment we are at Sindarin Erebor, it is a mountain in the north of Rhovanion." He explained, smiling kindly at her.

Wait... Erebor... Fili... Mountain... the pieces were all placing together and her eyes widened. Well, would widen if you could see them.

She...(Name), was in The Hobbit... a book that she read a long time ago. What?
The Hobbit isn't real. Fili, Erebor... they weren't real. This was a dream, and she was sure of it. This was only a trick in her brain, some weird vision that seems so realistic. And she needed to get back. Things were starting to get out of hand. She was going to lose the sight of reality.

"Fili..." (Name) began, pausing, asking for his permission to continue.

"Yes, (Name)?" Fili said sweetly.

"How do I wake up?" She asked nervously.

Fili looked at her in confusion, his eyes narrowing.

"Wake up? What do you mean?" He eyed her suspiciously.

"I-" (Name) stopped abruptly, as she felt the warmth fade away, and feeling lighter than before. She squeaked, and shut her eyes tight, as if waiting for something.

Instantly, she gasped and jolted, her eyes flying opened. She looked up to see a white tiled ceiling, very modern. Very modern indeed...
Wait...
She looked around, taking in the shower, toilet, sink, mirror...

(Name) woke up. She was back.
