one day long ago when magic was as real as legends. there was a king, an honourable one I might add. he was fair and never made a decision without consulting with his lords or even what most would consider peasants. he treated all his people equally. and that is what they loved him for. women, men, lords all were treated as equals, all had rights to land and property. if you were a lord or commoner depended on how much land you could own. Other than that everyone had all the same rights.

today was the day of celebration for my people. the day to celebrate our gods and traditions. my wife was helping me get ready for the celebrations. she handed me my best looking tunic, it was black with red trim and had lots of embroidery. on top of that I put on my leather armour and my fur cloak. I wrapped my sword belt around my waist. and put my newly polished sword in its sheath. I put my axe on the other side of my belt as well. then last but not least my wife handed me my crown with a smile. I put it on, she smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "you look very fierce my husband" she said to me with a soft tone. "thank you my beautiful wife, I shall meet you at the festival". she smiled and nodded. she left the room, I went to look out the window and i could see my people out in the markets preparing for today. a knock came at the door. "come in" I said loudly so whoever was on the other side could hear me. the door opened and there was my son, and my brother from one of the towns. "Karzoff! Agnarr! good that you are both here. how was your travels brother?". we all met in the middle of the room where i embraced them both. Karzoff smiled at me with his bright green eyes gleaming in the light of the room. Agnarr was first to speak "my travels, they were long as always but good. I see the entire town is preparing for tonight. I have to admit it was a friendly sight after a couple days ride here" he grinned. "very good. and yes it has been nothing but busy here since two nights ago. people from all over are coming to the festival. we even have traders from the east here to sell their wares. it is a friendly sight i must say". Karzoff then piped up "oh father, i almost forgot there is a man who has been wanting to speak with you since early morning but you were getting ready so I dared not disturb you". his face looked a tad worried. I looked at my son. "very well where is he now?". "he is outside on the other side of the street, i see him now just sitting there silent. he made it seem very important when he told myself and the guards earlier that he speak with you. shall i send for him?". "yes have him meet me down stairs in the main hall". Karzoff nodded and sped off to fetch the man in the street.
