In the darkness I see a single light,
A beam traveling like the touch of twilight.
To far from my fingertips,
But close enough to bring a wish to my lips.
It leads me closer to a chance.
But all this came from a single glance.
A beauty that challenges even the moon,
Was here, than gone, far too soon.
But even absent what it leaves in me,
Is a glimmer of hope that even if I can't see.
Helps me keep up any fight,
But is only seen as a sliver of light.
