Ashley's POV
When I got home mom was drunk and back to her bad drinking days and I ran to my room and cried
Luke was blowing up my phone and my mom said a bunch of lies about me and told me to leave and never come back and I don't know why so I packed some things and walked to Luke's house at midnight
"Hi Ashley is everything okay?" Luke's mom asks
"Can I talk to Luke please it's important" I say
"Sure he's probably asleep but you can go wake him up if you want" she says
"Thank you" I say smiling
I go to Luke's room and knock on the door.. No answer so I walk in and wake him up
"Luke please wake up" I whisper
"Ash.. What are you doing here" he asks
I try and hold back the tears and he can tell
"Ash tell me" he said sitting up
"I never told you why mom and I moved here did I" I ask
"No" he says
"Well there's a lot to say" I say
"Go turn on the light and come sit down " he says
"Mom would get drunk for fun and abuse me.. When she's sober she's really nice but she gets drunk. She had to leave Tennessee because the police were tired of being called about her. I thought moving here she'd stop but it didn't and when I got home she was drunk and said lies about me no told me to get out and never come back" I say in tears
"Ash I'm so sorry I never knew, you could've called me and I would have picked you up instead of walking here" he says hugging me
"It's fine and I'm fine" I say
"You can stay here and you can sleep in the guest room" he says getting up and taking my hand
"Thank you" I say
He takes me to the guest room and shows me around his house, and tells his mom I need a place to stay.
"Thank you" I say hugging him
"You're welcome I don't want you to get hurt" he says kissing my cheek
"Get some rest you've had a long day" he says
I go to sleep and wake up to a nightmare and I start crying
I tip toe into Luke's Room and wake him up
"What's wrong Ash" he asks
" I had a nightmare" I say
"I know that's really baby ish but I'm sorry" I say
"It's fine, do you wanna try sleeping in here" he asks
"If it's okay with you" I say
"It's perfectly fine " he says
