Many moons ago a tribe of wise men, women, healers, physics and shamans lived together. Sheltered by the high rising mountains and the forest that enclosed their tribe from the outside world.
This tribe was named Aelwyd. They were the first to settle and the first to pray to a wiser being; sending their consciousness out into the unknown realm of the creators.
They were the people of earth; the Hertha.
The creators; Gods.
Impressed by the ability of these weak and frail beings; a small group of gods decided to reward the tribe for their skill. Gods from all over the creators realm gathered and witnessed the blessing given to the Aelwyd tribe;
With the next birth, the child will be Kesia.
killed only by a gods sickness or a severed head with no beating heart.
This child will be grow up to be the Aelwyd tribes protector.
On the sixteenth cycle of winter from which the child have been born the blessing will be at its strongest point, transforming the child into a true Xantara.
By blood of deity, and fire of hearth
So mote it be.
But some gods weren't happy with what had been done. Gods of Justice and balance begun to cause an up roar; the Kesia should not come to be and no tribe should have an Xantara. One tribe should not be allowed to have such power at their fingertips. And when the next birth was twins; the wheel of fate began to spin faster and faster, the red treads of life stretching out into the stars as the scales began to tip.
Hertha = Of Earth
Aelwyd = Of Hearth
Kesia = Earth Bound
Xantara = Protector
