I'm (Y/n) (L/n), I've lived in Gotham for about 14 years now. I know the danger, I know the people. My mother just recently passed away due to cancer, so i'm currently living with my father in a small apartment. The view is amazing, I've even seen the batman once, anyways lets get on with the story, shall we?

I didn't go outside much, why would I with all the crime? I wasn't afraid, we had batman and robin to take care of everything.

Although my father had become depressed, and hadn't wanted to outside. I was starving and I haven't eaten in days. I thought about going out to buy some food myself, but I don't want to go outside right now.

I looked out the window, the view was amazing it wasn't fully dark yet, so the sunset looked amazing. My stomach began to grumble.

I had no choice but to go get some food. I was too hungry to wait any longer. I grabbed my fathers wallet off the counter and took a about 20 dollars.

I walked down the steps quietly, our neighbors had been a sweet old lady and some man in his 30's who always went out to smoke.

Once I was out of the complex, I walked on the sidewalk to the nearest gas station. Once I opened the door the bell chimed, indicating I was there.

The cash register man gave me a warm welcome and I greeted him back. I went to the back of the store to grab a water bottle when the bell chimed again. Someone else had walked into the store.

I didn't look at them since I was focused on my task. I grabbed a bag of chips not caring about the brand. I walked around before I heard the conversation.

" Give me the money in the register now! " A Raspy males voice came from the front of the store.

I hide in one of the isles behind a bunch of food. I tried to control my breathing so he wouldn't hear me. I heard the click of a gun being loaded, or something like that.

' Okay, Okay! I'll give you the money! Please put the gun away sir... ' The cash register spoke with clear fear in his voice.

The money was given and the man had the gun on him as he backed for the door. Before he could exit, the bell chimed again and you heard the man fall with a loud thud.

I stood up peeking over everything to see the robin taking care of the scum. He saw me and he squinted at me before dragging the guy outside. I grabbed snack mix and quickly paid for everything.

Once on the sidewalk I felt like I was being watched, probably paranoia after what just happend.

I walked into my apartment building and locked the door. I scarfed down my meal as I looked out the window, I saw the bat and robin on a roof.

They looked like they were fighting, but I didn't see the armed robber anywhere. I turned around minding my own business before they saw me.

I threw away all my trash and got changed for bed, I walked into my bedroom and laid in bed.

Slowly I managed to fall asleep.
