Josh made his was home, up the 2 lane countryside road
Trees form a canopy over the road and the air was cool, unlike the blazing Oklahoma heat that permeated in unshaded areas
As he made it closer to home  the trees became lesser and lesser, now having a clear view of the sky. The sun was setting, and the colors of the sky swirled into creative patterns, amazing Josh with God's beauty
Though the boy was old enough to be on his own, he preferred to stay with his parents to help out with his other siblings
The home was quaint and fair in size, perfect for the 6 person family
It was placed just off the road with a gravel drive leading up to the house
When josh parked the car and stepped out he was greeted with his cat, buttercup
She was a yellow tabby that he adored so much but his mother wouldn't let in the house
After saying hello and a few friendly pets he ambled his way up the steps of the house and through the front door
"Joshua! Dinners almost ready! Go clean up." His mom called from the kitchen, knowing it was the boy.
Josh made his was into the bathroom where he washed his hands and combed his dark brown curls with his fingers
As he looked at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but to think of the honey-skinned boy
The way the boys plump lips curled into a smile as he played in the water
The vermillion hue on his round cheeks
His doe eyes
Josh was enthralled in that boy
"Dinner's ready!"
Josh made his way out of the bathroom at his mothers words and to the dining room where he took a seat at his usually spot
The rest of his siblings came in and his father said grace over the meal
Stories about how everyone's day went were shared and josh sat quietly and observed
"Josh, I think you deserve a day off tomorrow. You don't have to come into the shop if you don't want to." Josh's father said to him, referring to the Auto-shop he and his father owned
"Okay, thanks pop." Josh was relieved and after finishing his plate, he excused himself from the table mumbling something to his mother about being tired.
His mom gave him a questioning look but let him go anyway
When josh made it up the stair and to his room the boy was on his mind
"I have to find out who he is" he thought to himself.
"I'm going back tomorrow"
