Old opinion:
I haven't played Planet Robobot yet (rip me), so I'm going off of what I've heard from the game.
To my knowledge, Susie is President Haltmann's daughter, and is an antagonist in the game. She's responsible for a lot of the mechanization that happens, most specifically with Meta Knight.
Given that she's one of the main antagonists and all, I'm not sure if her and Kirby would have a chance of working out, even if they do look cute together.
Conclusion: Give them a few boards and see if they can make a ship themselves.
