3 Weeks Later

I woke up with a sudden confusion as to why my alarm hadn't gone off. I slowly got out of bed and walked over to my window, lifting my curtain open.

It was still dark out. That's weird. I walked over to my night stand and checked my phone to see what the time was.

2:42 am

It's no where near 6:30 ! I guess the first day of high school has me so worried, I jump up thinking I forget to even set my alarm when I knew for a fact, I did.

I better go back to sleep, I'm exhausted.

6:30 AM

BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I reached over and snoozed it, shoving my face back into my pillow and hiding under the covers.

High School can wait for me :)

8 mins later

BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.

Finally, I snooze my alarm. I make my way towards the bathroom and grab a white towel from the basket on the counter.

I stared at my shower. It's use for me no longer existed and probably never will again. I wonder what the feeling of showering is like again.

I shook away my thoughts and turned the nod on my bath tub.

Water soon filled the tub so I added some body wash and bubbles started to appear everywhere.

I quickly undressed and slid myself into my bathtub full of bubbly water. Ten seconds passed by and what do you know! My tail appeared.

I've had my tail ever since, well, a year ago.

It all started when I decided to spend a day at the beach by myself for once. I went to Paradise Cove to take a good look at my hometown before we moved.
My parents said they wanted to move to Newport, for a "fresh start" ever since fathers business went down.

Paradise Cove always had little shops that sold trinkets and things, not making much business, but the town was known for the one thing that kept people there the most. The ocean and it's splashing waves.

That's what kept me so close to that town. The connection between me and the ocean was strong and binding almost.

I never had many friends there, I stuck to my studies, books and took nice walks, taking advantage of the little town.

So when I was at Paradise Cove, the connection became stronger. Like, something was keeping me there.

I decided to just soak my feet in the water. Then this weird feeling came upon me, my feet were somehow inseparable.

Then the tide quickly got higher and I, being carefree, just jumped in for the heck of it. I finally took control of the waves and swam through them.

Then an even weirder thing happened. My feet were attracted to each other like magnets, pulling my legs closer in with them. At this moment my whole lower body somehow became one.

It felt like half of me was unable to move. Bubbles then started appearing everywhere and surrounded me all around. I tried to pull away from the current but, I didn't have the strength.

My legs and feet now were adjoined and I thought I was seeing funny, but they were blue. A shimmery blue. My mind had just thought that was the ocean water and my eyes playing tricks on me. At least that's what I had hoped.
