Dustin and Pudding

(That's Pudding! Dustin is older I want to say 15 in this, Gaten is too cute in the photo)

Y/N POV

"Hey Dustin!" I call stumbling trying to catch up to him. I happened to see him at the park.
"Hey Y/N, be careful!" I look up and see Dustin holding the most adorable puppy ever.
"Oh my pudding, where did you get that puppy." I tried containing my happiness, but I got a little squeals at the end.
"It happened to follow me to school, it looked like a lost pup and it didn't have a collar on it so I'm temporarily keeping it."
"Aww, it's so cute! Can I pet it?"
"Sure, it seems more than happy to have the attention."
"What's it's name?" Dustin pauses, "um.. I didnt name it yet."
"Well then... let's get brainstorming," hm, what should it be... Gaten sounds like a good name but not for a dog. The puppy is a deep brown, it reminds me of something but I can't remember the name.
"Pudding!" Dustin cries.
"What did you do?"
"Answering your question. You were thinking out loud." Oh boy, but that's perfect. I turn toward the puppy, "so what do you think Pudding? A proper name for an amazing puppy. Yes it is! Yes it is!" I can't help coo over the dog. Dustin laughs at my antics.
"Why are you laughing?"
"What? I'm not allowed to laugh you Y/N?"
"Dustinnn...." I whine, "Can I hold it please..."
"I think you might want to let it run around for a while. It's really hyper!" I take the puppy from Dustin and put it down. I look at Dustin and he's smiling at me. I feel myself blush.
"What?" I ask.
"Just thinking?"
"About what?" I couldn't help asking. His face dusted with red.
"How you and the puppy are alike.."
"Huh?"
"You both are adorable." At that point a tomato could be my sibling, if my face wasn't red before it definitely was now.
"I wouldn't be half as amazing without a certain awesome guy to tag along with me."
Boldly, I grabbed his hand and started chasing the barking pup. Dustin held on to his hat laughing. The crisp fall air and the changing leaves were so beautiful as Dustin and I raced after Pudding.
After a while Pudding got tired. The puppy walked over to the pond and laid down. Dustin and I followed, I laid down next to the puppy. Dustin laid down on the other side of Pudding.
