Sato Fukishiwa - Case 1

4:13 PM. Ichibei High School, Tokyo. Three high school students are in a classroom. The shortest student nervously looks around. She pierces the silence by shouting "Y-You did it! It was you!" while pointing at a much taller girl. The taller girl closes her eyes and says, "You're one who's quick to judge I see." While folding her arms. "Th-Then it was you senpai!" the short one then shouts now pointing to the next student, a thin tall boy. "Sigh" the boy replies.

"Hawa Chan, calm down, getting all excited will only make matters worst."

"There's only three of us here, I didn't do it, so it must be either of you!"

"Before we jump to conclusions how about we introduce ourselves?"

He turns to the tall girl then said, "I'm Fukishiwa Sato, nice to meet you."

To which she replied "Tatsuki Rei, likewise." "This feisty midget here is Yamashiro Hawa, she isn't always like that." "Nice to meet you" is what Rei directs at Hawa which she ignores purposely. "Alright" Sato interjected, "Now thats over with lets go over what we know so far." "Agreed", "Yes" Hawa and Rei reply respectively. Sato speaks first,

"At around 3:50 PM I came to this room, Hana's bag was on this table like it always is and she was seated at the end of the table as well, then I left after 4:00 PM to get a drink from the vending machine, when I got back Hawa San and Tatsuki San were both here and Hawa San was angry..."

Hana then added her contribution,

"After Fukishiwa Kun left I went to the washroom, when I got back my bag was missing so I shouted, when I turned around she was there!"

Rei calmly adds.

"I simply heard someone screaming while walking past this room so I came in to see what the trouble was about, I am on the student council after all."

Sato leans against the table and takes a pondering disposition.

"If Tatsuki San came in after Hawa Chan returned then it wasn't me or her, it has to be someone else, Hawa San, was there anything important in a your bag?"

Hawa turns her face from them and softly replies with "Yeah..." barely audible.

"Then we must find who did this, I do not like the thought of things being stolen in our school much less being labelled a thief." said Rei.

"Thats because you are!" shouted Hawa, "It was you who did it! Thief! Thi-".

"Hawa San" Sato interjected,"is it possible that your carried said bag to the washroom?"

Hawa stops shouting and stands there for a few seconds then runs out the room. A minute passes and she returns looking embarrassed-she has the bag in her hands. She quickly gets on her knees and apologises to Rei who says thats its alright and that she's glad that the problem was solved. Sato sits on a chair and slumps. "Hawa San, its going to take more that apologies to make up for that, you accused her of being a thief with no evidence, buy her some tea."

"Thats quite alright, by the way, which club is this?"

"The science club."

"Hmm,anyhow I was actually on my way to a friend, I got a text from her saying that a certain teacher was up to something again, that the rumours about her are true, I thought I should investigate it and report to the principal if it were true, so I should get going now, see you all around."

"Wait" Sato quickly says, "Our group president is absent today so the other members left since there would be nothing to do, so right now I'm bored, would you mind if I accompany you? Your teacher issue sounds... interesting."

"Ah!" she exclaimed,"I guess that would be alright..."

"M-Me too!" Hawa shouted, "Can I please tag along? I'm also interested in what the teacher is doing!"

"Alright, but you both have to be calm and don't make any problems, and be as quiet as possible, especially you Yamashiro San."

They both nod in agreement and trail after her.

4:26 PM. Four high school students hide outside of the school's art room. The three who just arrive all try to peek inside through a window. "I-I can't see a thing." Hawa said trying to speak softly. Tatsuki shoves her and takes a look then Sato took his. Tatsuki turns to her friend an says "You were right Meiko Chan, something is definitely wrong here." "Yes, I agree." Adds Sato. "I've got to head to cram school now, update me on this later please Rei Chan." Meiko says while leaving the scene.

"I don't get it! Whats wrong inside of there? Where is the teacher that was doing suspicious stuff?"

"Look again Hawa San, look closely"

"I see the same thing, some chairs, tables easels..."

Sato walks up behind her and lifts her up a few inches.

"Oh I see, she's sleeping on the floor there, how strange!"

"Keep your voice down Yamashiro San, you don't want to wake her."

"You can put me down now Sato Kun..."

4:31 PM. Three high school students sit in the science club room. "A teacher sleeping on the floor of her classroom, why is that?" Hawa says.

"How about we list all the probable reasons why?" Rei says.

"She had a long night and would rather sleep in class than fall asleep on the way home?" Sato guesses.

"What if she felt sick and had to take a nap?" Hawa adds.

"Those seem probable, however she has been spotted every day sleeping in there therefore those are not valid reasons." Rei says.

"Well this is indeed puzzling.How about we just ask her why?" says Sato.

"I think she might feel offended to have students intruding on her personal life, I say we follow her around to find out why." Rei replies.

Hawa adds "So asking directly is wrong but spying is fine? Sounds fun to me!"

"Sigh," exhales Sato, "Alright spying it is, lets go!"

5:03 PM. The students patiently moniter the art room waiting for the teacher to leave. They sneakily follow her to the staff's room then to the entrance gate all without being seen by her while acting casually if anyone were to bump into them. Sato stops. "Hey, I suddenly got an idea, I need you both to distract her before she leaves, quickly now!" The girls run up to the teacher. "Sensei! Sensei" they both shout. "Oh, good evening is everything alright?" the teacher asks. "Uh..." Hawa says, "Shoes! Your shoes are untied!" They all look down to see the teacher wearing a pair of red high heels with no laces or buckles to be found. "Aha silly Yamashiro San, what she was meant to say was that she really loves your shoes and wants to know where you bought them, yes thats it." Rei quickly says. "Oh, I see," the teacher says shyly, "I got these in a little store downtown, its named Ko-" "Hey guys sorry to disturb you but our club leader says we gotta go now! The experiment is about to start!" Sato interjects while running up to them. "Oh yes yes thats right, thank you Sensei, sorry for disturbing you." All three students run off and the teacher exits the gate.

Out of breath Rei says "What was that about Fukishiwa San?". "Yes really?" Hawa adds. "Hawa, let me see your phone." Sato requests and she obliges. After a few swipes and presses he shows them the screen. There was a map with a green dot named "Sato's uPhone" and it moved every few seconds. The dot was on next to the road thats right outside their school. "Ah, so you dropped your phone in her bag while we distracted her, this way we can see where she goes, clever move Fukishiwa San." Sato smiles feeling proud. "Thank you Thank you." "Um... that seems great and all and this my sound stupid but what happens if she opens her bag and sees Sato Kun's phone?" Hawa enquires. "Hey, thats right, what will we do?" Rei adds. Sato freezes and says nothing for a few seconds. "It...It was a spontaneous decision okay! I didn't think it through!" he then shouts while grasping his head.
