"So why are you here in Leeds?"
I looked out of the taxi window and gave him a hint that I didn't want to talk. "I mean most tourists are here in the summer." I kept looking out of the toned window and answered "Maybe it's because I'm not a tourist" He looked at me through the rearview mirror and it looked like he was nervous that I would notice. "Oh, so you just came home from vacation?" He asked and I slightly shook my head from side to side. He immediately noticed that I knew that he was looking at me so he started looking at the road instead. He took out a cigarette and then a lighter. He put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it. After a few minutes he finally put it out and it looked like he was thinking about something important.

I looked at him in the rearview mirror and saw that he hesitated to open is mouth, but eventually did to ask "Why are you here then?" I looked a last time out of the window and answered: "I'm going to live here for a month or so and then leave or stay, it really depends on how it goes."
This time he starred at me through the rearview mirror and opened his mouth, but before he could say anything I quickly started to say "I'm a foster child...I'm going to live with a foster family for some time."
He instantly stoped looking at me and focused on the road instead. He didn't say a word on the rest of the ride.

When we finally arrived I took out my bag all by myself and he just sat still and didn't even think of helping me. I went to the drivers seat and knocked on the window. "How much?" I asked and he starred at me for a while. "What?" I looked at him as he was stupid and asked again. "How much for the ride?" He blinked a couple of times before looking at the screen to see how much it costed.
"£114" he said with a fake smile on his face. I took off my old red backpack to take out my wallet. "Here you go." I gave him the money, he rolled up the window before I could say goodbye and I just looked at the car as he drove away.

It instantly hit me that I was a few steps away from my new foster home. I started sweating and was super nervous because Max wasn't here. Max is my supervisor in foster care. That means that he's always with me when I switch homes or if I want to move out faster then I usually do, but this time he couldn't come. He was stopped at the airport because his passport was out of date, but he said that I was old enough to do it on my own. I didn't agree with him, but I couldn't do anything about it because I didn't want to disappoint Max. He's like a brother to me so from my perspective I didn't have a choice. I think I know what your thinking right now, that he probably wouldn't be disappointed. I've known Max since I was 6 years old and I know when he gets disappointed, mad or happy, but that's just because he thinks the world of me and I just can't let him down. So I did it. I don't know how I did it, but I did.

I turned around slowly so I would get a better perspective of the street and the hole neighborhood. I saw some of my new neighbors and they looked nice, in fact the hole neighborhood looked really nice. I've never been in such a fancy neighborhood before nor in Leeds. I just hope that my new "parents" are as nice as the neighborhood and not some rich ass people who think that they are better then everyone else.

I slowly walked towards the front door of my new home, but stopped when I was only a few feet away from the door. I played scenarios in my head for what could possibly happen if I knocked on the door in front of me. As I slowly moved my hand closer to the door I felt a shiver down my spine and just as I'm about to knock, the door opens and a little boy stands in the doorway and looks at me with excitement in his eyes and a likable smile on his face.
