This year I've spent it alone in the same home she and I lived together in for fifteen years. I heard the pops and explosions coming from all of my neighbors houses. Her best friend texting me because her and my best friend are having a cookout. Her mom begging me to come to the big celebration we always go to at her house. My wife loved her stepfather even though he was hard hearted he knew he felt the same way.
