This is just a preview of what's to come, enjoy.
"Let's start by talking about Ben, were you two close?" The policeman asked, her gaze felt condescending.
I looked her over. Perfect raven hair. Too cheery green eyes. It made me sick. The way her sickly sweet heart shaped face, displayed an empathetic expression. Tall and slender. She reminded me of. . . I won't say his name. It will make it real.
"Ms. Nora, I need you to answer me. Were you and Benjamin close?" Her tone was firm, high pitched and nasally.
I stared at the metal table. Then the mirror, two way. They were watching me. Waiting. Waiting for me to tell them everything. They would be there a while. My eyes drifted to the walls, they were painted beige. White tiles covered the floor. Slumping in the metal chair I stared at my nails. Picking anxiously at the corners.
"Ms. Nora." The woman said. I could tell she's annoyed. "Just talk to us."
I looked up at her, filling my eyes with menace. "You want me to talk?" I snapped.
"Well I'm talking. Yeah of course him and I are-were close." I screamed at her, "of course we were or else we would have never been in that god damn plane together." A single tear ran over my cheek. Lowering my voice I continued, "of course we were. Him and I had plans. We were gonna go travel the world and settle down in our favourite place we visited, have two kids. I love him and I always will. So yeah I suppose you can say we're close." I refuse you to say his name.
