Kiki’s P.O.V

I walked behind Swan and watched as her long blonde hair flowed behind her gracefully, not one hair became out of place, Swan was truly an angel. I sometimes envied my big sisters beauty but even though I envied her beauty I still loved her all so dearly.

Swan was the one who I only really opened up to, I have not even opened up to mother as much as I have with Swan, Swan is a beautiful person and her boyfriend Kyle she always spoke about was lucky to have her.

I ran a hand through my short light brown hair as I looked up at Swan with Admiration.

“Swan…” I began and she instantly turned around, her perfect blonde hair flicking over her shoulders gracefully.

“Yes Kiki?” Swan asked me smiling down at me.

“I hope you don’t become Ill like Mama” I replied smiling at her sadly, I then turned around as I felt tears escape my eyes; Swan placed her hands on my shoulders and looking over my right one.

“Kiki please don’t cry!” Swan exclaimed.

“I-I-I’m sorry!” I replied through sobs she gave me a reassuring smile as she stood in front of me and looked me in the eyes.

“Come now, you have no need to say sorry to me Kiki, you are only young and you deserve the best, but let me tell you now, I will never ever give up on you, if Mother dies It is for the best she will be in a better place, if she dies that just proves how much God needs her, and all you have to do to make her rest in peace is smile and laugh everyday” Swan assured me wiping away my tears escaping my left eye with her thumb. “Please promise me that you will be happy no matter what life throws at you” Swan added after a little while.

“Okay Swan, I promise” I replied giving my older sister a hug. She smiled and gently patted me on the head.

“Good girl, now we have to go into town and buy Mother some soup, she will really appreciate that” Swan told me. I smiled at her; a couple of tears still remained in my eyes but I smiled for Swan.

“Okay” I replied as I followed her down the street towards the town square, we finally reached the town square, Swan looked at me and said.

“Okay, can you go wait for me over there? I will treat you to some dinner in a second”

“Okay Swan” I replied giving her the peace sign and ran towards the table she was pointing at. Sitting alone reminded me of the isolation I went through in day care; that was when Swan wasn’t around to protect me from the bullies. Swan was in the older class whilst I was in the younger class.

“EW, don’t hang out with the new girl, she’s dirty and infected” one of the children said as she pointed towards Kiki.

“I just want to make friends…” Kiki replied in her quiet voice.

“Nobody wants to be your friend dirty Kiki” the same child replied as she poked Kiki in the stomach.

“Please… All I want is to have friends” Kiki replied, tears escaping her eyes.
