-Yuri's POV-
Suddenly, everything went blurry. All I could hear was a ringing in my ears. The whole world was smudged up as I entered a world of my own thoughts.
Sure, I was excited. Heck, the first few hours I was on Cloud 9. But that excitement gradually faded. I mean sure, I had won gold, but what was next?
After the interviews and words of congratulations from the other skaters and their coaches, I snuck out into the changing rooms. I ruffled my hair up back to normal and changed out of my costume. I jumped into a pair of black skinnies, a blue sweater, and some sneakers. Over it, I put on my big bulky coat, a scarf, and a beanie. I took out my contacts and put on my glasses. Then I stuffed all my things into my duffel bag and carefully stepped out of the changing room, trying to pass by unnoticed.
As I got out of the general rink area, I went to one of the elevators and pressed the up-button. The elevator bell rang and the doors opened.
I stepped inside and noticed there was someone else there. Someone who was shorter than me with long blond hair and skin pale as the moon. Instantly there was a smile on my face.
"Hey Yurio!" The guy looked up at me, a smile gracing his own features.
"Hey Piggy-Katsuki. What floor?" My smile grew hearing his low Russian accent, confirming it was him. I looked at the row of buttons and saw that the 14th floor button was already lit.
"Same as you," I replied. He nodded.
"Trying to sneak back up and relax?" he asked. I chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah, kind of. I never thought I would say this, but winning gold has its negatives."
Yurio snorted. "You're telling me!" We both laughed as the elevator started to move up.
"Congrats by the way. You deserved the gold, Yuri." I smiled at his comment.
"Thanks..."
"So, what's next for you, piggy?" I smiled at the stupid nickname. Sure, it bothered me at first, but as Yurio and I became better friends, I grew to cherish the name. And besides, I get to say Yurio.
"I don't know. Haven't really thought that far yet. What did you do after you won gold?" I looked at him as he tried to remember.
"Ate some more of my grandpa's pork-cutlet pirozhkis and jumped into a warm bath." I laughed at his response and he smiled.
"Gosh, I miss us talking like this..." I sighed.
"So do I. You should come over to my room, you and Victor..." At the sound of his name my heart sank. I tried not to think about him, but it was hard. I smiled to myself. Gosh, I love him too much. But it won't do me any good. He has to go back to Russia and compete again.
"...should make us some pork-cutlet bowls, and I'll make pirozhkis. How about it?"
"Huh? Oh right, I'd be happy to." I smiled as the elevator doors opened and followed Yurio to his room.
"Text Victor and ask if he wants to come," Yurio tells me as we step inside his room.
"O-okay." I put my duffel bag down and take off my shoes, jacket, scarf, and beanie. My hand shakily takes my cell phone out of the jeans pocket and presses the home button. Instantly the screen lights up and notifications of texts and calls pop up.
