It was a rainy cold morning in Fort Worth Texas and It was also moving day for Seven. Seven was your average black girl. She had skin like a hot cup of coffee, no cream. Hair so curly you would've thought she had something in her besides black, and eyes black as coal. She was beautiful, she even had a little shape going on. Seven had a little stomach pudge with wide hips and thighs and a nice sized bottom. She was happy with the way she looked no matter what anyone said about her.
Seven was just waking up and it was going on 9am. Oh man i need to hurry and get up, I was supposed to be up hours ago, seven thought to herself. She quickly got up and got ready for the day. Her flight to New York was leaving at 5 and she still had a couple of things to pack. Seven had graduated from high school about a month ago and had been saving all school year to be prepared to live up North. It had been one of her many dreams since she was a youngin. Of course her mom and step dad were against it because as they said "You're so young, you shouldn't be out there alone Sev.", but Seven already had her mind set and nothing could change that. Not even her bestfriend Jai, or as Seven would call him "Fagatron".
Jai and Seven had been friends since 7th grade when Jai came out and started getting bullied by some classmates. Seven hated that he was being singled out just because of sex preference, so one day at lunch she looked around the cafeteria until she spotted him and when she did she immediately sat down right next to him and begin eating her lunch as if everything was okay. Jai gave her a hard time at first because he thought she was trying to be funny but he realized that she was genuinely trying to be his friend and ever since they had been rock solid.
Seven's phone started ringing while she was pulling her wild curls into a ponytail. She quickly finished and answered her iphone with her usual catch phrase, "What's the 411 on the 211?".
Jai rolled his eyes as if Seven could see him, "Bitch you corny" he chuckled "But what time does your plane leave? I want to get my last goodbye out, I can't believe my little Sev is leaving me" Jai pouted.
He honestly was hurt that Seven was leaving so soon, he thought she would at least stay all summer. Not leave right in the middle, they had plenty of things to do that he was looking forward to and now all that was down the drain.
"Aw poor baby you can always come visit, Im leaving the house at 3 and my plane leaves at 5" Seven replied breathlessly. She was putting tape on boxes and bringing them downstairs and realizing how out of shape she was. She made a mental checklist and put working out as #1.
"Ok cool I'll be over there in 30" Jai sighed while hanging up. He was really not ready to let his bestfriend go, visits were not going to be enough for him. He need his bestfriend close, but he would be okay. Jai knew how much this meant to her and he didn't want to ruin it with his selfish ways.
Seven's mom, Linda, was outside loading her daughters boxes into the moving van that would be taking Seven's items up to her little Condo in New York. It wasn't anything special but it was big enough for Seven and had all the essentials she would need such as a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom & a small living room. Linda was sad to see her little girl go, she felt as if it was too soon. Her little baby wasn't a baby anymore and that worried her, she was especially worried about letting her go off to another state without any supervision. She trusted Seven with everything in her but she didn't trust the people up there. She tried convincing Seven to stay but she knew there was no use. Seven was a reflection of her so she knew that once she had her mind set to do something, that was it. She wasn't changing it.
Linda said a silent prayer asking god to watch over her babygirl when her husband Deon walked up and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.
"She's gonna be alright." Deon whispered in Linda's ear while embracing her.
"I know, Its just my mother instinct kicking in. I can't believe she's really leaving" Linda sighed softly watching Seven bring more boxes outside. She knew her babygirl was leaving one day just not .. this day. But she would suck it up and put on a happy face, she didn't want Seven to be upset because she was.

After a couple of hours , Seven was finally done packing and had rolled out her carry on luggage and put it in the back of her parents black GMC truck. Jai walked up her driveway and grabbed the other bag, helping Seven load the truck.
"Here let me help you weakling" He joked trying to keep himself from crying.
"I am not weak" Seven giggled "I was doing just fine before you came bighead. come here." she demanded holding her arms out for a hug. She knew Jai was lowkey hurt about her leaving, she could see his glossy eyes and felt so bad.
"Bestfriend you can visit me whenever. I promise i won't forget about you, I love you so much Jai'Lon DeMarion Harris and don't you forget it. You'll always be my fagatron." Seven promised while embracing him tighter.
"I love you so much more Seven Nzuri Wilson and I will be out there shortly. I heard its some fine boys out there with hella coins okkkkkk trust me ya boy will be in New York very soon." Jai exclaimed while sticking his tongue out playfully.
Seven and Jai laughed out loud holding each other as if they would never see each other again. If you saw them and didn't know no better, you would think they were lovers, but Jai was indeed gay and Seven was most definitely straight.
"Aww look at them Deon" Linda cooed was snapping multiple pictures "They don't even want to let go, that's so sad" she whined. She would have to break them up soon so they could drop Seven off at the Airport.
After a minute or two more of hugging, Jai and Seven finally got in the backseat of Linda's car and made their way to the airport. On the way there Jai took several pictures of him and his bestfriend and posted them on snapchat and Instagram making it known how sad he was that his bestfriend was leaving. Seven reassured him that he could always come see her. She knew he was still upset though.
Once they made it to the airport they quickly got Seven to her tunnel and started to say their final so longs. Deon, her stepdad, was first.
"I've watched you grow into a wonderful women Sev, and I must say Im very impressed" He gloated while embracing her in a sideways hug, Seven smiled brightly. "Now I hope that you make the right decisions as I know you will and please contact us if anything goes wrong. We love you." Deon embraced his stepdaughter one last time and moved to let her mother speak.
"My babygirl.." Linda cried silently and smiled while touching Seven's cheek. Seven rolled her eyes playfully and grabbed her mother pulling her into a bear hug. "Momma stop crying, Ima be good for real. Ill call you everyday ok?" Seven reassured her Momma. Linda shook her head. "Everyday? you don't have to do that sweetie just make sure we hear from you frequently enough to know you're okay. I love you my sweet child." Linda hugged her daughter then turned to grab her husbands hand.
"Lets give these two a moment" Dean suggested nodding towards the two friends. Linda agreed following her man out to the car but not before telling Jai they would be waiting on him. Jai nodded.
"This is it my Sev. Life begins once you enter that tunnel" Jai smiled. Little did Seven know, Jai was right. Life would begin but she was ready to tackle it head on.
