Getting Ready (Part 1)

Alec's Point of View

"Magnus, do we really have to do this? I would rather listen to Simon talk all night." Alec sat at the end of the bed listening for Magnus to call back from the bathroom.

"Are you sure you could handle that?"
"You're right...I'd rather die. Can't we just cancel?"
"Alec, we've been planning this dinner for a week. What would I tell them?"

Alec pouted before slumping back against the bed, finally saying, "The truth." Alec stood from his original place on the bed and walked to the doorway of the bathroom. He watched as Magnus set his eyeliner down and look up, his yellow-green eyes reflecting the light.

"And what would the truth be?"
"That were busy and-" He paused.
Before Magnus could ask what the second part was, Alec positioned himself between Magnus and the sink, grabbing the hem of his boyfriends shirt and slightly pushing him back. It was only when Alec had Magnus flat against the wall closing the space between them that Magnus could finally muster a mumbled phrase.

"And?"
"And that we want to be left alone." Alec said in what seemed like the lowest tone. Magnus shivered has Alec's breath hit his neck. He couldn't take it anymore.

Magnus snaked his arms around Alec pulling him even closer than he thought possible. Magnus kissed Alec's neck, feeling joy when he felt his Shadowhunter shiver. Alec gave a soft moan as Magnus nipped his neck, finally biting gently, only to leave a mark.

Alec lowered his mouth to Magnus's, biting his bottom lip, eventually sliding his tongue over it in a soothing manner. It was Magnus this time who moaned, not so quietly.

Alec was sliding his hands up to Magnus's chest, to the buttons on his shirt exactly, when the buzzer rang throughout the apartment. Alec groaned unhappily.

"Our guests are here, Alexander. Play nice." Magnus returned to the mirror. "Oh this just won't do!" He stated dramatically. "Someone disrupted my glitter, I must fix it. Can you be a darling and let them up?"

Magnus grinned at Alec's attempt to fake a smile when he was clearly frustrated.
